Millenium Hill Noise 8/3/2015

Anyone last night experienced a stop on the hill and slight pause, then it started it up again with a horrible noise coming from the train until it went over the hill?

Totally normal. That noise is good! That means they dispatched a few seconds before the train cleared the final breaks, and they are making good capacity!

The noise is actually the anti-rollbacks, which when going normal speed up the lift are lifted by an electric current. When the train slows, stops, or is just getting started, they are dropped down so you hear the noise.

Yeah, it's the anti-rollbacks. A small wheel generates an electric current which holds up the anti-rollbacks with an electro-magnet. When that wheel slows down enough or stops then the anti-rollbacks engage because the magnetic force is lost.
