I'm a huge cedar point & Millenium Force Fan. I'm looking forward to riding MF just as much as everyone else! But PKI is building "Son Of Beast", a 200+ foot wooden coaster with a loop. Which leads me to my next two questions.
1)Did Kings Island decide to build this after CP came out with there MF plans? To try to compete with cedar points mega coaster or was it all a coincidence.
2)I personally think MF will be the best Coaster on the planet but, A 218 ft. Wooden roller coaster with a 70+mph top speed and a loop is gotta be very intense. So anyway the question is in your opinion what will be a more intense Son of beast or !!!!MILLENIUM FORCE!!!!
1) Millennium is spelled with two 'n's
2) SOB was announced in late April/early May, months before MF.
3) Construction for both SOB and MF started way before the beginning of the '99 season. Both MF and SOB have probably been finalized since the close of last season.
4) Look at the number of parks building gigantic rides for this year (PKI, CP, SFMM). It's been a while since any of these parks added a major coaster. Why not do it in 2000?
5) When you get right down to it, SOB and MF are two totally different rides. Personally, I don't think they can be compared directly. It's like comparing apples to oranges.

...not to mention it's impossible to compare rides that none of us have been on. It's a senseless debate fueled by blind enthusiasm. The enthusiasm isn't bad, but the debate is one better held in May.
Still, MF hasn't been blown over by a strong wind yet. :)

Someone close this topic. There is no reason for another one of these senseless arguments about SoB and MF.
