MilF! a boring ride?

Before I get flamed here by everyone, I would like to point out that up until recenty, Millennium Force (MilF!) was one of my favorite coasters. This post is more a question than enything else.

I have a question about the excitement and fun level of MF (or MilF! as I call it):

Lately, on one of my 2 last rides on it, the ride just seemed boring to me. The excitement that I would expect wasn't there, and the best way to describe that ride was to say it was boring.

Could it be because of how many times I have been on it since 2001 (when I took my first lap), or has anyone else gotten bored of MilF!?

Magnum though, which I have been on many more times than MF seems a lot more exciting to me. Maybe its because it isn't as smooth, but I also think it may be because it isn't as predictable (I am always hoping the trims are off, so I have some anticipation mid-way through the ride, listening for the trim, or lack thereof).

While MilF! is a great ride, it just seems like I have gotten bored of it. Anyone else feel the same way?

I feet exactly the same way. It is still a very fun ride, but the excitement just isn't their anymore.
I felt the same way after my visit this year. Raptor impressed me far more than it ever did.

TTD is in no way exciting.... NOT! MF, yes, i'll admit
MF is not as exciting as it was opening day 2000... but it also depends on where you sit. Front seat is awesome, back seat is awesome, and the middle isnt as exciting... but thats just what I say.

TTD #1, MF #2, Raptor #3

This is some kind of joke right? You are actually talking about Blue Streak or Woodstock Express being boring.

MF Boring? NOT POSSIBLE.

I dont have this problem..MF is still as exciting as it was the first time I stepped on it in June of 2000...never has changed and I enjoy it still very much, have you ridden it at night? That makes a difference, I like all roller coasters, they can never get boring!
I actually thought the front just plain sucked. The front on Superman at SFDL, is really good because you get alot of airtime, but since on MF, its only floater air, you can sit whereever you want, and plus the first drop in the back is amazing if you look straight out towards the overbanked turns.
Jeremy Davis, you talk like MF is a "god of all coasters" or something. As if It cannot possibly lose its excitement. Millennium Force is just another ride. It is not the 'ultimate' coaster out there, no way. It can get 'boring'. Some people can handle extreme rides very easily and others cannot. And I think that those people that can handle them easily, are the ones that say 'it gets boring' after riding it a few times.

Those that cannot handle rides like MF very easily are probably those like you that say it cannot possibly get boring. But the people that can get 'bored' of it, like avalanche sam, me, and many others, are those that want taller, faster, and more extreme. Now, to me, MF is sortof 'boring' during the daytime and in front seat. Back seat ownz IMO especially at night, and I will never(i hope) get 'bored' of that.

UPDATE:

After 2 rides on it yesterday, one in the front, one in the back, I now have mixed feelings.

With the front seat ride, the first drop was exciting, along with the first overbank, but the island part of the ride, except for the airtime hills, which weren't too exciting in the front anyway, was pretty much boring.

On the second ride of the day, which was in the back seat, I found it much more exciting. I felt the speed more, and the drop is amazing when you are just yanked over like that.

Now I can say that excitement may vary.

For me magnum hurts my legs extremely bad so it isn't exciting to me... it's just painful. After you get off of top thrill dragster in front it makes mf feel like nothing.
I agree with Sam, Magnum has excited me much more this year and I've ridden it so much more.

I get asked the question all the time. Do I ever get board of riding MF? The question is no and the reasons why are because every ride is different. Due to weather conditions, were you ride the ride at, and yes by even what train you get. I will say that everyone liking a different ride is what makes the Amusement Parks keep building new and different rides. If everyone liked the same type of ride then it would be boring.

Hmm... I don't recall saying anything about MF's so called godliness.

But are you going to actually tell me that after a few rides that it is "boring"? After 10 rides? 20?

When does it become boring? I don't count the number of times I have ridden certain rides, but if I had to guess to the number of times I have been on MF it would have to be near 100 by now. I enjoy it every time. If a ride is "boring" especially one like MF then why wait the 1+ hour to ride it?

Now a smaller coaster, sure would be boring after a few rides, and especially after you have rode something larger and faster.

And on a side note.... some people may think that MF is the "ultimate coaster". That is their opinion. Just like you say it isn't... that is YOUR opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

If MF is so boring then sneak your pillow on board and take a nap. Don't forget your teddy bear.

I've only ever been to Cedar Point once, and it was only for 1.5 days (not quite even that long). On my first night I rode MF for the first time ever for me, and it blew my socks off! (not literally of course) I was fortunate enough to get to ride it again the next morning during resort/JCC ERT, and it was just as exceptional if not better. Also in terms of wait, I only had to wait for 30 mins for my first ride and my dad and I walked to MF from the marina entrance and made it on the first train out, so I had 0 wait for that ride.

Just as a little side note I also only waited 50 and 30 mins for my 2 rides on dragster. God I love the last week of August!

That's funny people think it is getting boring. To me, it seems to get better everytime I ride it! Nothing in my mind will ever beat MF, my #1 coaster since 2000!

I haven't rode MF many times but I can say the ride isn't boring but after a few rides the excitment does go down. The first drop will never get boring but those overbanks will.

All rides lose their excitement level once you've been on them time and time again. However, there are exceptions to this. I have been on Dragster 19 times now and I still think there is no greater thrill in the world. Try sitting in different seats...alternate from front to back. You can even push for different trains because they make a difference. Hell, try the ride at night. MF and Dragster both become totally different rides once you experience them at night...

If you think MF is a "boring ride", you must be on drugs.

And if you're not on drugs and you think MF is a "boring ride", you should be.

I agree with Paul I have ridden MF 302 times and it gets better every time.

MrScott,

I hope you have read my update. Night does seem much better than day, and the back seat is a lot of fun.

But come on, the ride is so perfect, that it does get boring. It doesn't have the personality of rides like the Magnum XL-200.

Since most of the air on MF is floater air, is there any seat where I might get some ejector air? I love the ejector seat on Magnum.

-Sam (who also like's Magnum's higher capacity better)
