Back in 1989 when I went to CP with my famly I was like,6. Anyway, we stayed at Camper Village and my dad said around 3 in the morning he heard a loud roaring that woke him up, he walked outside and noticed they were running Magnum. Does CP do most of thier testing and matinice(sp?)during the late hours of the night??

August 20 will be the day I go "Full Force" for the first time!! :) ;) :(
I'm not sure about CP, but we just camped back in June at PKI. Our spot was right by Top Gun and around 4:00am in the morning they were running it, including an annoying alarm. Ten minutes later, it was over. The next night, the same thing only around 5:00am.
The mechanics start their daily testing, and checking of the rides at about 4 or 5 in the morning. That's why you heard the coasters running that early in the morning.

I seem to remember that because of guest complaints in Camper Village, there was a policy to not run Magnum until 7am. But that was a few years ago and my memory is fading. In the park, depending on maintenance schedules, work that needs to be done, etc., rides are run off and on all night.

Sure thing the rides are run at night. That's when the maintenance crews will transfer trains if needed, replace brakes, and all those other little niceties. Then they run a few laps to be sure all the parts are back in the right place, no big deal. *Grin*
