Why doesn't MIA have a board here? It's still pretty close to Cedar Point and there's a lot of talk about it in here.

Pretty close? It's four hours away!

My family vacations in Holland, MI about one hour south of MIA off route 31. It took me 5 1/2 hours to get to CP when I made the drive a couple years ago. But there was a ton of construction around the Mich./Ohio border. So if I add it up, I'm thinking 6 to 7 hours away.

Except its not equivalent. You wouldn't drive all the way down 31 to Holland just to go east, you'd take 31 to I-96. Its all freeway with a 70 speed limit (which means 80 is feasible without drawing attention.) I would wager that 4 hours is pretty good estimation.

No, it's more like 5. I live about a mile off of I-96 and its a good 3 hours to Cedar Point, and 2 hours to MiA.
I did a quick google maps and its 4:27 on there. Factor in that that is using posted speeds and I can see cutting it to 4 hours. This all depends, of course, on driving style.
Which way do you go from Lansing to CP anyway? When I went (from Grand Rapids) last year, I went across to 23 and took that down. Do you go all the way to 275 or do you take 23?

I live in between MIA and CP. I cannot see how one could make the drive in less then 4 hours. But I would think 4.5 hours would be a fair estimate.
Well, whaddya know. There is a Candy Mountain.
96E--> 23S --> 475E --> 75N --> 280S --> 2
But it's still 3 hours just about any way you go. Within 10 minutes
It's also 104 miles from my house to US-31, and then you have to go north on 31 about 12 miles and then through North Muskegon (or if you go all the way to Russel Road, I think its more like 17 miles)
The way I take to CP from Lansing; 96E-275S-75S-280S-2. Generally, 2:45. I have done it in 2:30.
