MF vs. TTD

Which ride do you like better? I haven't been able to experience the TTD yet because last year the cable broke the same day I was there. In fact, I was within 20 feet of the ride when the cable snapped. I'm guessing the choice depends on if you prefer pure adrenaline or quality coaster fun. Or both...

What do you think?

I like both in very different ways. TTD is by far the best rush ever. The ride happens so quick you have barly enough time to comprehend what's going on. MF is an intense ride starting with the fast and quiet lifting system, the 80 degree 300 foot first drop, the large over-banked turns, the great airtime on the camelback hills, and best of all the pure speed throughout the entire ride. Overall the rides are both the best coasters out there.

By the way, when the cable snaped what did it sound like? I can't imagine how it would look or sound.

*POP!* No other way to explain it. It was a sight to see it twisted out through the tracks. It really is massive.

I like MF more cause like i guess i have had the privlige to ride TTD many many times. Working there and all. But MF like is just great. I guess with TTD, it is so short and all, and it is like not that much fun. There is not a whole lot there to enjoy, so like you can only enjoy it for so many rounds. NOw MF, there is a lot more to enjoy, a lot more turns, a lot more scenery and stuff to enjoy, but on dragster there is none, or none that you can see.

Which one is better...My username says it all...MF is king, and always will be king as far as I'm concerned. Don't get me wrong, TTD is one hell of a ride, and is even in my top 10, but nothing compares to flying out of the front seat of a 310 ft. hill. I remember last year when I was in the hot tub @ Breaker's Express, talking to another coaster enthusiast, and he was basically saying the same things i was, the lines will eventually return to Millennium Force, nothing can steal it's thunder.
I haven't even gotten to ride TTD yet but I've been convinced for a while that MF is better.

Even though both are coasters, they offer thrills that are very different. Comparing the two against each other really is like matching apples and oranges.

I'm just happy that CP has them both!

I like them both because they both offer different experiences. I'm also happy that they're both at Cedar Point.

After you have ridden TTD more than one time and you are actually able to process what's going on, the view from the top of that tower is incredible, even as quick as it is (even more so at night time). I like both of the rides, never really took time to think about a favorite though.
I concur with Avalanche Sam.

They are both top notch, quality coasters, but they are very different. TTD is intense, right now adrenalin. MF is a little more mellow but gives you a long experience.

One way to explain the differences is if MF is a pint of fine micro-brew beer, TTD is like a shot of Jack Daniels.

than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Well... The term Magnum is a bit generic compared to Millennium Force. Try using the term Magnum XL-200 vs. Millennium Force.

But then again not many people really use the entire name of the Magnum and some don't even know the whole thing, but people searching for Magnum could be searching for anything from the ride, guns and ammunition, or condoms... :P

Looks like we have a clear winner:
