MF Theme

When I got my new computer last year I never got around to downloading Jeff's "MF theme." Now that I'm feeling a bit nostalgic and have caught the coaster itch, I want to hear it again. I looked in the older threads, but all of the links that used to contain it seem to be dead.

Could anyone who has the song let me know on here or get ahold of me through AIM? My SN is in my info section.

ftp://ftp.popw.com/MFTheme.mp3

and the topic is:

"This second hill is my favorite part of the ride. It is so Cool!"
TTD Status: "Contaminates in the system" S.K. Per my conversation
"Hey Werewolf lady"

That's just it...that link is dead now, or at least it won't allow me access to the download from it.
Really, I right click the MFtheme link and click "save target as" and can download the song. It indicates it is 5.79MB in size. I haven't let it download entirely, but I would guess it is working. I don't know.

Here is another way to get it:

Go to you Start menu and click on run...

Type: ftp ftp.popw.com and hit enter.

It should open up a command window and log you onto the ftp server. It will then ask for a user name, type anonymous and hit enter. You will then need to enter your email as your password.

Once logged on, type get MFTheme.mp3 and it will download it.

When it says transfer complete, type quit to logoff. I'm not exactly sure will it will download to on your computer, so just use your computer's search to find it. I hope this helps. If it doesn't work, just let me know and I can send it to you by email.

It's Stanley Cup time! Let's Go Red Wings!!
Less than 1 month till opening day!!

I know what my problem was. I was using Netscape, and for some reason it would just keep loading the page and never complete the command to download the song. All I needed was to hop back onto IE to d/l it.

Well it would help if the whole internet didn't optimize their sites for IE :)

Kind of like most other things in this great country...

Coke/Pepsi products everywhere. You'd be hard pressed to find Faygo and Sam's Club sold on tap... just the way it is... They think that if they supply/code for the biggest user base, they've got the best of most worlds... Works for me... I use MyIE2. Just like IE but has a lot better functionality (download accelerator capable, opens multiple 'tabs' instead of hundreds of 'windows'. Best of all, it supresses popups and if for some reason they get through you can close all windows and it doesn't have the chance of opening another window *smile*. Great program for the Windows users hating the IE but LOATHING the Netsh*t too... http://www.myie2.com/

Why would it help? 90% of the world runs on Windows and IE, so why wouldn't you optimize for your 90% base? yeah there's that 10 percent out there, but that 10% can write their own web browser =D.....I've used firefox with no problems but I still kinda prefer IE. I am going to give that myie2 a try. I like the optimizations for IE, but also love the tabbed browsing of firefox (which has changed names like 3 times now through their beta releases)

Anyways, there's my two cents, don't blow it all in one place.

Here is yet another version (an original recording from the MF station) that I found awhile back. The quality isn't the greatest, but it's the only dub of the actual station music/spiel that I've found. I'll keep it up for a few weeks...

What time does the water show start?

Sweet! I'm really hyped to Get To The Point (tm) now.

Oh, and Jeff, I would give ya one, but I'm too busy running Ad-Aware to get rid of the spyware on my neighbors computers that was conveniently automatically installed through IE, along with the porn dialers that earned them $100+ phone bills (installed by their 12 year old sons). My fix? Uninstall IE (hah) through the control panel, edit that one file so they can't put it back in, then install Firefox. Same goes for Outlook and its many vulnerabilities.
I'm currently running linux and windows with Firefox 0.8 (it's still in beta) and it gives me less problems than IE. I don't know about that IE2 or whatever, it'll probably get phased out eventually.
