MF Paintjob

Anyone think that MF needs a new paintjob? I personally miss the really deep blue color ... I think that should definately be considered.

OFF TOPIC:
Maverick looks great!

Yawn.

this early in the season, there is sooo much more to discuss.... I heard there is a new ride name... Maverick... i think. LOL

MF is looking pretty shabby. However, it is pretty expensive to paint the rides and I wouldn't look for it to happen for at least a few more years. MF is likely the most expensive ride to paint in the park. *** Edited 5/20/2007 3:24:46 AM UTC by Existentialist***

It really does need it, and I don't think it is that far off. Manufacturer paint always seems to wear off much more quickly than the re-paint does. I'd guess we may see the lift, along with the area by the queue, painted one year, with the rest to follow in other years.

Thrills Around the Corner!

Actually come to think of it, when i got my pass near the end of April, we drove back to have a gander at Maverick and there were painters power coating the fence along perimeter road right along side MF.

Any of the new Intamins would be expensive to paint I would think. I was surprised to see Magnum being painted with brushes and rollers - same with Raptor I think. The track on MF would take a LONG time to paint by hand. Even if they sprayed it, there's a lot of nooks and crannies to get at.

It does need a touch up, but we've discussed this like twenty times in just the past off-season.

The only areas that need paint is the last portion of the ride, bunny hop/overbank/brakerun. The rest of the ride doesn't look bad nor is it really that visible unless you're very far away.

Just because you cant see the ride, doesn't mean it should be neglected.

You saw the title thread. I figured it was pretty self-explanatory. Why would you even post? What a waste. Seriously.

Yeah, I'm all Mavericked out. Sorry. And if you've got them, bring them up, chances are someone beat you to it. I didn't see a thread for this and it's something I think should happen.

Yet another pointless post.

I think Millennium needs a new paintjob..but not this season..maybe in the upcoming offseason.

Total Maverick rides for the 2007 season = 27

This topic has been discussed to death. A new paint job will come eventually, so there's no need to speculate. It's a fun ride with or without shiny paint so I don't see the need for one of these threads to pop up every 4 months.

Yeah, what Vince said.

If you seriously couldn't take the 30 seconds out to try and find THIS thread then shame on you. I think it's been discussed enough over there in the five pages it contains. Let's just let this one go.

Ride on, MrScott!

What does it matter? If he wants to talk about it let him. If you don't, shut up and stay out.

Its really quite laughable how every single thread is invaded by idiots who degrade it. Of course everything is going to be talked about to DEATH, its one park. The only thing new has 14 billion topics about it already.

Honestly. Quite sad by each of you.

As for the paintjob.. it could use some sprucing.. as it is a bit faded.. but it will cost millions to do it.. so when this whole Maverick thing get behind us.. maybe next off-season? Then you'll see something done.

Well this thread was idiot free until you had to crash the party.

No one was calling any names or telling people to shut up before you decided in your "infinite wisdom" to come here and say such idiotic things. We were merely pointing out that the topic has been beaten to death and he could have easily replied in another thread elsewhere.

Your reply was not only childish and crude but unnecessary.

I hope the paint has gold and platinum flakes in it if its going to cost millions.

I believe Raptor cost somewhere between $200,000 and $500,000. MF is longer and taller, but it can't be to much more. Certainly not millions.
