MF Opening Delayed?

I saw this report on rec.roller-coaster:

"The news here in Toledo made a small mention of it last week that MF may not be ready by May 13th for opening day (Let alone the May 7th AAA day). I tend not to put a lot of stock in the local news, we have some real morons."

I don't place a lot of significance in this report, but you never know. Did anyone else in the Toledo area hear this report, or does anyone have any further info one way or the other?

hmmm...

Haven't heard anything locally. Checked all the usual news suspects, errr...sources and there's no mention (online at least).

Given the updates and news surrounding MF, this sounds fishy at best (and I wouldn't trust the Toledo media either) - probably a disgruntled PKI fan upset about SOB not opening on time.

I heard that TOLEDO news too, but the people at 13 action news aren't that smart sometimes. I called Cedar Point, and they said that is will still be opening on May13, and will be open on May 7 for AAA members. :-)

I heard CP will have MF open on May 7, but will only be running 1 train.

Manny, where do you "hear" this stuff? This is the 3rd thread that you've "heard" something no one else has.

NOFX, rec.roller-coaster (or RRC as it is called by veterans) is an internet newsgroup designed for talk about amusement parks and roller coasters.

cp_genius i called cp and they said it will be open for may 7th so i "heard"it too, please he nice she is only saying what she heard.

I never said it wouldn't be open, I said it would be running 3 trains not 1.

OK! I called Channel 13 here in Toledo. They said that the feed for the Tele-Promter got mis-typed. It should have read Son Of Beast and Kings Island. Simple mistake, I guess. If you notice, NBC 24 and Toledo 11 The News Channel (And even Fox News at 10) Clearly stated that the ride will be open. Maybe Manny's----I mean JB's uncle could tell us for sure.....

Just to let you know, CPgenius, there are only 2 trains on MF, not 3. (13 Action News....what canI say?)
