Merchandise Quality

I don't typically have much to complain about when it comes to CP, but I have to complain about the shotty quality of some of their shirts I've bought recently.

In the last 2 months or so, I've bought 3 shirts from CP, and had to exchange every one of them. The first two were t-shirts that I discovered had holes in the armpits. The third one was a long sleve t-shirt that I found to have a hole in the sleeve. Sure, it's easy for me to just take it back for another one the next time I go, but what about those who only go there once a year? They're stuck with a crappy shirt that they can't take back.

I bought several shirts last year, and they have held up great. There is one that I've worn so much, the graphic is fading badly and the cotton has become stiff from being washed so much. Despite all of this, there is still not a hole or loose thread to be found on the entire shirt.

I am rather dissappointed at all of this as it doesn't seem to hold up to CP's standards. I can say now that I won't be buying another shirt on closing day out of fear of it having a defect. Also, while on this topic, I think it would be nice if CP carried XXL shirts. I know they are available on-line, but I can't find any in gift shops. Sure the XL's fit me, but I am a bigger fan of baggy shirts, and would be more inclined to buy a larger shirt.

Ok, end of rant. I just needed to get that off my chest.

Yea - and there is one shirt availible in the park that would probably be a popular item among the people on this board who can't spell. To me, it's an embarassment that it is still on the shelves.

Look hard and you will find what I'm talking about. I wasn't even the one who noticed it to be honest, but it was noticed in May or Jone and the shirts are still there.

Let the merchandise department know about it. I went through an issue last year where something I had was junk, and they worked with me to get it resolved.

I am with Ralph! Why not sell XXL shirts! No FAT people allowed in CP??

I have a really hard time letting go with the money they ask for shirts at CP. I would like to have a bunch of them but geez. (maybe I'm just too darned tight! :) )

11/12/02--Pearl Jam releases "Riot Act". 11/12/02 I go into Pearl Jam overload.

One thing I noticed this year was that a lot of the clothing came from different clothing companies than in the past. Prior to this year most of CP's clothing seemed to come with a CoasterGear label which I assume is Gear Clothing Company ( a top-of-the-line yet expensive t-shirt and sweatshirt manufaturer).
Perhaps CP wanted to bring in a more affordable line of clothing and unfortunately sacrificed some of the quality, too.

I have bought shirts this year in XXL from the Point!
