Memorial Day Weekend - May 27-28

If anyone's going to be there on the Sat & Sun before Memorial Day (which is on Monday, if you didn't know), my fiance and I are going up there to spend the weekend. We're coming back the first week of July for our honeymoon, but I seriously can't stand work and we need a break from summer school and work.

It's just the two of us so if anyone else wants to meet up and ride, it might be cool :)

We've never been on a weekend day so it will be interesting to see how busy it will probably be, especially with it being Memorial Day weekend. We'll be picking up our Season Passes Sat. morning as well.

Apparently. After reading your post, I was thinking maybe my work is just observing it on Monday, but after doing some google searches, I've found that it really is being observed on Monday, May 29th

You mean like every other year where we celebrate Memorial Day on the last Monday of May?

I guess? Sorry for being ignorant, but I've never kept up with the exact days of holidays; except maybe for Christmas.

Yes, I will be there that weekend. I'll be wearing red and blue and will have my thumb in the air. You can find me around the big blue Intamin, at least the one that you don't need a little kid to ride.

lol. Yea the school I graduated from is the biggest school in Tennessee. At least in '02, it had about 3,000 students. Fights everyday, like it was the freakin ghetto. The school is in horrible shape though. 30 years it has been open and not one remodeling or reshaping has gone into it.

does anyone know how busy it tends to be on memorial day. i looked at the weather and it looks nice so i'm thinking it might be like a saturday in but i don't know for sure. thanks.

I went a couple years ago and it wasn't terrible. It wasn't dead though, but it could've been a lot worse.

Did anyone end up going this weekend? The lines were horrible. Never again will I go on a weekend. Waiting 45 minutes for PT, at least an hour for DT..... the list goes on... Bus loads of musical kids everywhere

as i found out yesterday, going on a holiday weekend blows like a $2 hooker. the only good thing was that two trains were operating on the railroad.

Today was the hottest it has been ever when I've been at the Point. We heard from a few different places that the temperture reached 99 degress on the midways. Combine that with rides breaking down left and right and you had long waits for everything in the park.

Yesterday on the electronic sign on the back of the main entrance it said it was 103 when I walked by at around 1:45.
