Members List

I would like to know if there is a way to find other members in my area.

A " Members List " that showed name, location and maybe even e-mail would help.

I really don't want everyone knowing exactly where I live.

Does it matter anyway? To the right of your name, it says Location: Brooklyn, Oh.

Regardless, people know where you live by reading your posts.

Personally, I think a Member List would be great.

Like official address or just a city. I have no problem letting people know I live in Brookyln. Just I don't want them knowing my house address which I think is what Kyle was hinting at.

It would be cool, I met bholcomb on this post and found out he lives a bit south of me and now we carpool to CP. For a 187 mile trip one way, I think that doing a member list would be awesome. Maybe we can find more people to pick up on the way!!

My vote is for the member list!

Member lists are a great way to feed e-mail harvesting spambots.

I think a member list would be cool since it would make it a lot easier to find other CP fans around you. As far as email bots go, well it could just use the system that is already used for emails in the profiles. The email address is never directly linked to in a way that bots can use.

I wasn't asking for street address, sorry if I gave that impression, but it would be nice if I could find out that someone from this site was somewhat close to to me.

The information is already in the post, but I really don't feel like reading every post ever made to see where everyone is from.
