Mean Streak re-tracked

Sorry, I don't believe that the reason the Mean Streak lines are short is because it is in the back of the park. When it was new, the lines were so long it was ridiculous. And yes, all lines shorten over the years. But I guarantee if Magnum was, for example, in back of the park, the lines would be just as long as they are now because it's a killer coaster.

One more thing, by re-tracking, don't we mean ripping off the existing track and replacing it with a brand new one?...not just replacing wood pieces that you see on other costers as well.

Yes, they're pulling off the steel rails and at least one or more layers of wood.

Cool! Hope it helps and EVERYONE will be happy! Believe me, I would love to put this topic to rest once CP does something to improve Mean Streak a little...just a little.
i love Mean Streak no matter what they do to it. i love the sounds it makes...i love the roughness...it makes you feel ALIVE and RELAXED, like having 20 massages all at once(beats the stress right out)...i love looking at it(SOOOO beautiful) and i really loved taking people there for the first time and seeing them stop dead in their tracks when they saw it for the first time"OH--MY--GOD. that's HUUUGE!!!" i love it i love it i love it. go ahead and re-track!!! keep Mean Streak alive for another year..and another and another...

The line was longer because they actually advertised it.
Hmmm...

That works in RollerCoaster Tycoon, but I don't think it really works that way in Real Life.

Mean Streak, and to a lesser degree, Mantis, tend to have ever-shrinking lines because people ride them once, then say, "That was unpleasant; I'm gonna go do something else." Meanwhile, Raptor and Magnum have huge lines that just keep getting longer because people get off saying, "Wow! I want to do that again!".

Of course my opinion on the basic rideability problems of Mean Streak is well known here. I presume they are replacing the worn out road steel so that they can wear it out again next season....

(Say, Jeff, does this board system have 'POPCode'?)

(Sorry, Dave... not yet. I hope to add it soon, maybe next weekend. This whole board was coded from scratch by yours truly.)

Sounds like Servo's got a date with a big woodie! :) Sorry, couldn't resist.

all of you people are complaining about the short lines. What is the matter with you !?! More rides for us. I know it is ruff but a coaster is a coaster and i am gonna keep on riding.
(I know you wrote it, Jeff...that's why I called it 'POPCode', as opposed to, say, 'UBBCode' or something like that. But I noticed you were parsing the smileys already... :) )

I'm not complaining about short lines. I'm complaining about RIDEABILITY PROBLEMS.

I second that RideMan!
hee hee heee, Jeff. you are sooooo right. i am forever spoiled from SFGAm's American Eagle because of MS. i am SUCH a fickle girl...the bigger the better on those woodies!!! CAN"T WAIT for MF, though. ahh, 92 mph, probably 5 g's....

no no, tohot2se...i like the Eagle LESS after MS came along...it's ok, but MS will always be the biggest and best woodie in my heart.

American Eagle is a classic, kind of like Blue Streak is, its one of those "cant leave the park till I rode it, coasters."
