I was at the park Saturday through Sunday (June 25th-27th). Mayflies crawling all over the park. I don't know if this is normal ,but a lady from the park. Some sort of manager told us they were Mayflies and that they show up when the lake is healthy. How long do they stay? They are very interesting. Were they there only this weekend in such mass amounts? Poor things don't know when to get out of the way of a speeding rollercoaster train.

Yes Mayflies come out at Cedar Point every single year, I think on this website there is an article about them and such.

I was there earlier this weekend and a guy getting on TTD had a couple on his hat then stuck it down his shirt before the ride took off. It was pretty funny at the time.

At soak city the lifeguards were telling people that the mayflies were endangered and if you kill one it's a $500 fine I thought this was hillarious since people were getting all upset since they thought this was true.
