May 10....

So... I heard that just about every big ride in the park was down today... anybody actually stay?

That really sucks, because my friend was going there today. I am going to feel kind of bad if he gets home and says they didn't get to ride anything. Why were most of the rides down anyways?

If I had a nickel for everything I "heard" ...

We just got back from a couple of hours in the park. The only coaster that I know of that was down was Millennium Force - there is a sign saying so at the entrance. They were climbing the track on that one. We didn't make it up to the front of the park, but Gemini, Magnum, Corkscrew, Mantis, Mean Streak, Mine Ride, WildCat, Iron Dragon, and Blue Streak were all running. Other than Millennium Force being down, it looked like a normal day at Cedar Point (except for the 14,000,000 physics kids )

I got a phone call from my friend who was on break this morning, around 11:30 there, that MF was down, as was WT, gemini, Magnum, Wildcat, Mean Streak, and DT. I think he said a couple other, but I was kind of asleep. I only pass on info that I get from people who know what they are talking about, in this case, a team leader in zone 4.

I can assure you Gemini, Magnum, WildCat, Mantis, and Mean Streak were all running while we were there this morning/early afternoon. I even took some video of WildCat and Mantis, among others. I don't know about the others because we didn't make get that far towards the front and I didn't notice on the way out.

What is it with Physics day and Maintenance Force? ;)

Almost every major ride had SOME downtime on opening day. I know MF, Magnum, Raptor, Mantis, WT for sure. However, they were down for short periods of time and hardly spoiled my day. CP has the best uptime in the business. Yes there are bad days, but on the whole, they do a good job keeping rides running. As for MF being down, what would you expect? It's an Intamin! ;)

Raptor was down and so was MF. Millennium rolled back, I just started a thread about it in the MF forum. Other than that it wasn't too bad. We got 4 rides on WT in 20 minutes this morning, thanks to our good friend, Joe Cool :)

WT was up and running all day... rode it twice this morning.

MF and Raptor were down from 9:00am (never saw 'em cycle from the gates) until I left around 2:00 in the afternoon - anyone who stayed later can say if they ever got up and running.

Maggie didn't open till a little after 10:30, but I never heard about (or saw) it down after that point.

Blue Gemini got stuck on the lift hill about 11:00.

I bought a park map today - no WT, and the old Dogems is still across from Maggie. Weird. Do they update this thing every year in the offseason, or do they do it partway into the season?

That's all I can think of for now.

yes mantis was down today! =( we opened 20 minutes till ten and were going fine till 10! we were closed for only 30 minutes or so though...

Raptor opened at around 7:30 and remained open until 9 (yes, past closing). The crew was really bored all day. I spent a few minutes chatting with them and they said the "trains are spotless." ;)

I was their on Friday, all day and the only rides that were down were Millennium Force and Raptor. Raptor opended up later in the evening.
