MaXair tamed down?

Did anyone else notice how Maxair only goes to the half way point now? Last year it went higher. It really took some excitement away from me becuase i like having the feeling that you think you are going to go all the way around but dont. Now I dont get that rush feeling. Also if anyone rode Disaster Transport, I would have expected that on opening day they would have had the lights off in the que lines and have all of the effects on in the ride, but everything was just terrible about it today. None of the scenery on the ride was there. Other than that I had a great day at CP!!

sorry didnt get a chance to ride Maxair but from the looks of it i didnt notice a difference.

Hmmm, Maxair seemed to be running fine for me. You may just have had a bad cycle or something.. im not exactly sure how it all works though.

Everything is terrible about DT every day. I went on it towards the end of the day and the first room had the lights out but the "repair bay" had bright white lights on. The ride was more boring than ever. They need to just turn all the lights out and make it completly dark. It looks like those baskets in the repair bay are finally about to crap out. I didn't remember the lightnig ball under where the robot used to sit. Is that the new theming for this year?

I did notice on the funcam that it didn't seem to be going as far above the tower as it normally does, but it's my guess that they're just trying to phase it into working order now. Like a car, you want to warm up the engine before you try and blast it down the road.

maXair was never the same after it's first season. Last year it didn't make as high as it did, and this year looks to be even worse.

And Disaster Transport makes me wanna rip my eyes out. If you can't even keep up on freaking black lights... then I think you have a problem.

2012 - Magnum XL 200 Crew

It went north of 90 degrees when I was there, and it looked to me like it went as high as Delerium at KI does (dont know if thats good or bad.) I never rode the ride its opening year.

It didnt seem to go as high but it seemed to last forever.

Um, that's a lie.

I was watching it. It's doing the same thing it always has. It's your imagination.

And if anything, the ride has improved, as the cycle has nearly doubled in length. I didnt notice how much the spinning can get to me sometimes until last season with the longer cycle. Two back to back rides left me wondering where i was momentarily after getting off.

Now about that ride cycle time on Skyhawk...

Yea, now the cycle make you think.. "ok, when is this thing over already" I did get to witness a guest getting sick on it today. He got out of his seat quickly and went on his hands and knees on the grassy area and let it all come out. lol ;)

Its the same as its been. I watch it and rode it.

Well then I don't know if it was because it was really windy or something that it did not go as high. But the whole time that I was watching it from in line it was only going up to its halfway point. Maybe this was just temporary and it was running regularly earlier. Maybe the ride does not go as fast/high because of coldness just like as it would act on a rollercoaster. Not sure, but it wasn't my imagination.

Yeah, I noticed the longer ride cycle as I ended up going to the first aid by the coliseium (sp?) after the 'extended' ride cycle last year... If it had gone for one or two more spins around last year I would have vomited on the ride... and that would have been ugly... The first year (2005) I was ok on MaXair, but now its too much for me, even with a motion sickness patch on behind my ear... *** Edited 5/13/2007 9:04:16 PM UTC by Andrew VanAtta***

2006 Screamster (Fright Zone)

We only rode it during the last hour last night, and we waited four cycles. Never while we watched, or while we rode did it make it above horizontal. This was right after a breakdown, so it could have had something to do with it. It definitely did seem tamer because of it, but still awesome.

While we're mentioning extended cycles, any luck for Skyhawk?

^Skyhawk was the same as before when I was watching it.

I thought the same thing about Maxair while watching it (it didn't seem like it made it all the way up), but when I rode it it felt the same as always.

I would just like to say: At least Magnum had the fog on.

MaXair was no different from its opening year.
