I am one of those top heavy guys who has no trouble fitting in Millenium Force but was just barely able to fit on raptor and was just barely unable to fit on Wicked Twister last year. Can anyone offer any insight as to the approximate size and fit of the Maxair seats comparable to raptor, wicked twister, and/or Power Tower (which are much larger than raptor)? Any information is appreciated.
Mike
maXair seats are slightly larger than Raptor, but much less accommodating than Power Tower.
I assume you'll be ok. I fit quite easily on maXair, but not so well on Raptor and Wicked Twister. (I can only get one click down on Raptor, and the seatbelt is kind of tight on Wicked Twister)
I think a lot of it has to do with how big of a chest you have, how tall you are and how big of a gut you've got.
I will be visiting CP and GL in a couple of weeks. I weigh 295 lbs. I highly doubt it, and am not planning on it, but, does anyone think I would be able to fit in MaXair?
What rides should I not have any problems with? I haven't been to CP in a year and I have been reading posts about them adding seatbelts and whatnot to some rides. Just curious.
Are there any coasters at the point I can fit in? Last year I was able to ride Magnum and Gemini without a problem. Did they add shorter belts to anything that fat people used to be able to ride last year?
Should I just plan on riding Tilt-A-Whirl, Paddlewheel, CP&LE Railroad, Space Spiral, Giant Wheel, White Water Landing, Thunder Canyon, and Sky Ride all day?
That list is kind of boring. I know, lose some weight, bla bla bla there is more to it than that. LOL. Don't want to bore you all with that story. Anyhoo, out of those rides I can ride for sure, only 3 of them (Tilt-a-whirl, WWL, and TC) are actually fun to me. Are there any other "fun" rides you guys think I would be able to fit in for sure? Thanks a million!
Sounds like fun. Just resign yourself to having a boring time because you're too large for all the rides. Are you even going to *try* to ride anything else?
But, no, nothing is any less roomy than last year except for Corkscrew. In fact, some folks are saying MF and TTD are a bit more forgiving this year.
in my time there at maXair, we hardly ever had to kick people off the ride for them being "large." We had more of a problem with tall guests not being able to get the harness down all the way. (the taller you are, the more it hurts your shoulders)

if the test seat can accomodate you then yes, you can. They made the seatbelts on the test seat the size you have to be to be able to ride. The harnesses on the ride have to be able to click 6 times for the harness to be "locked" and the light to turn green on the control panel and the LED lights by the seat number
i think the height range when we start to have problems is around 6'7"-6'9"

Yeah, just like Neil said, we generally only have problems with taller guest. We rarely ever have to ask people to step off.

So since I am not tall (5'11'') but fat, you think I have a good chance to ride? According to a website calculation I took on my weight and height I am considered Morbidly Obese.
If I can ride maXair than I will be one very happy Morbidly Obese man!!!
