I got two rides in yesterday, 27 the first time, and 14 the second time. I really enjoyed the ride, very nice addition to the park. The line moved quickly, waited about 10-15 minutes each time on. I saw it go down a couple times, but only for about 10 minutes.

2006 season pass holder.
Go Pistons!!
Scooter, I don't know that I'd really compare it to Chaos. It's a different kind of experience.
Chaos being more of a "Look I'm in a bucket flipping around" and Maxair being more of a smooth almost Ocean Motion sensation without the naseua.

Magnum still rocks.
I'm completely amused by MaXair, I think it's a great addition not only to the park, but that area in general.
I've ridden it 6 times thus far, with seat 40 being least intense seat out of 1, 12, 14, 22, 40, and 47. And even in 40 it was still a great ride. It's so smooth, yet you're moving at such a good speed, and the visuals are GREAT.
i am planning to go on June 3rd (coastermania 05 leave me a private message if your going) and was wondering (since i don't like spinning rides but i want to go on maXair) where i would want to sit if i wouldnt want to get sick (i know they assign seats)
I went last Sunday and froze!! But I rode maXair 3 times. Seats 45, 37 and 41. I LOVED the ride!I described it as "pure fun" to my friends. I was a little disappointed that I didn't get close to seats 1-8. Didn't someone say seat 41 was the least intense for them? I can't wait to go again Sunday and see which seats I get. I'm going with my sister who's a little afraid of intense rides and here I'm telling her that this ride is not intense. Watch us get the "money seats". She'll probably kill me like she did when I talked her into riding the power tower!
I wouldn't call maXair a "spinning ride". Yes, it does spin, but it spins only to give you a different perspective while swinging. It doesn't spin fast enough to make you sick. From what I've seen/heard, the ride is not making many people sick. Enjoy!

I sat in seat 24, 48 and 15. I don't know if the ride is the same, but I really liked it when I sat in 24. I loved it. I like how you think your going to hit the supports. I like the upsidedown view of the park and I love hearing the scared people next to me as I say, "Wow, the dragster is upsidedown."
Someone peed in seat 28. I didn't think it was that scarey, just a good rush.

I sat in 9, 31 and .. 40 I think. All three were awesome rides, and made me wonder how Wonderland could mess up such a good thing with their vastly inferior version.
2005 trips so far: PKI, PCW, CP
2005 trips upcoming: PKD, BGW, BGT, USF, IOA, Martin's Fantasy Island, SF:DL, CP, PCW

I enjoyed. i found it a very exciting experience. That was the first time i had gotten to ride a giant frisbee. i was at PKI but that was before Delierium. i didn't have much of a wait and actually managed to get the last car of the day :) lucky me. but make sure you remember your number and GET THE RIGHT SEAT!
The world looks better at 420 feet in the air... first ride May 14th, 2005
only 997 laps left on MF..
So i resurrect dead post... is that a bad thing?
I thought maXair would be more disorienting than it has been the four times I've been on it (Chaos is more disorienting, in my view). I've found that the rotation is relatively gentle, and the ride's intensity has more to do with the swinging motion
Here's a question for other guys riding the thing:
Do you find that it becomes more uncomfortable in a male anatomically specific way as the ride swings higher and higher?
It's still a great ride, but I've gotta go now to complete my audition as a soprano in the Vienna Boys Choir.

That didn't happen to me on maXair, but I refuse to ride Ocean Motion or Sea Dragon at MiAdv for that very reason.

We went opening day, and again on the 21st, and I have yet to go on maXair.
I was a little worried it might make me sick and ruin the rest of my day. Judging by what everyone else has to say about it though, I think I'll try it out next weekend.
I'm a anti pirate ship/witches wheel/monster girl. Sure fire ways to get me naseuated. I was thinking that maXair might produce the same effect with the combined spinning and the swinging motion.
Ocean Motion doesn't make me sick at all, in fact I love it a lot because of the stomach dropping. I really wanted to ride maXair when I was there last week but it was closed. When ever I go to the park again I will be sure to ride it.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
Hows the capacity and average wait times been on maXair lately?

From everyone on the CP&LE, RIP Mayor Scott...~
15 to 20 minute waits have been posted, with two cycle waits. But I suspect something is off there. That would only be 300-500 per hour...if my math is correct.

I loved this ride!! I didn't know what to expect because if you look at it, looks pretty spinny pukey, but loved it!! Sat in seat 4 and thought it was great (except that the guy next to me was screaming like a woman!!)
When I was there second weekend, I timed it to about 5 minutes from park to park. This was using my phone, so it might have been off by a bit.
At 5 minutes though, that's only 12 cycles in an hour which is 600pph. It was early season though, and hopefully they can shave at least a minute off their time.
Goodbye MrScott
John
