maXair photos

It's that time of year when there will be twenty posts about will Cedar Point will be ready on time. Since I started going to CP I don't ever remember them not have everything open. This isn't Six Flags! I had to say that since I grew up going to six flags great america and the new rides there almost never are open on opening day. To their credit, I think Superman was ready, but I know most of the others were not while I was growing up. I'm sure you'll see some things moving soon since employees start coming next week! But I think Maxair wont be doing much before they finish the cement work around it. My guess is that the ride is ready to go, they just have to build around it.

from what I exsperianced on Delirium I think MA will have a cool affect with the Game booths. It would be even coller if they had put it on the water.

I love Delirum, but I also love Cedar Point. So now I have one of my favorite flat rides along with my favorite park. I think it would have been cool if CP had built a Giant Top Spin like TR:TR to go along with maXair.

You can see that they are testing on power tower. Its at the top.

I was looking at http://funcam.funcoast.com/high_frameset.html and I noticed all of the lights on CP are basically on.

Is it usually like this?

Take a look at Cedar Point's live cameras. There is no more lights on then usual.

I never really look at the webcams during the night.

Nothing a whole lot to see.

That is a picture from yesterday (March 22) at 4:58pm, as of now, it hasn't updated since. I don't think that that is a car at the top, it's not big enough, the object appears to be only on the right hand side.

Sure does look like one of the cars.
But why would they be testing now?

This is about the time of year some testing starts to occur. Not sure if it's actually "technically" warm enough to be running PT, since it's only supposed to run when warmer than 40, but that does certainly look like a car up there.

Just as a heads up, testing may be beginning soon (tomorrow or early next week). It looks like there are water dummies lined up in front of some of the seats. Best bet for catching some testing action would probably be funcoast.

Looks like something is going up on both sides of maXair.

It looks like something that would hold up the canvas over the queues.

Looking at the pictures and webcam it's becoming even more obvious that with the addition of maXair DT sticks out like a sore thumb. I know that this is general knowledge already, but I didn't think it would seem THAT out of place...but wow.

And I still can't believe they named the ride after an inhaler ;)

Nice, I wonder if it will have some cool lighingt effect like MF or TTD.

It will have the same lighting effects as Delirium at PKI.

The PKI ride has no effects. It has flood lights, that's it.

Nice update Walt! I like being able to see maXair from different angles.

Were these pictures today. Maybe thats why the web site is down. The water dummies are in maybe there testing soon?
