maXair pesky problems

After looking at the web cam today, it would sem that maXair is down for some kind of problem, since there is no one in the area and the line is empty as well as the car. Has this ride experienced any major mechanical problems since it opened, or is this the first one. Has Delerium at PKI experienced any major problems that might happen to this one? I hope that after TTD, this ride can experience very little problems.

Delirium at PKI has had very few problems. It does break down on occasion, but they always seem to fix it rather quickly. I would be extremely surprised if MaxAir were to have many major mechanical problems, considering the reliability of Cedar Point's other rides. (excluding TTD, of course)

I remember hearing that Delirium's "dropping" floor had a few problems during it's first season. MaXair's floor was made lighter in order to avoid that problem so I would be curious to hear what is keeping it down.

That would be interesting if it was the dropping floor that was causing a problem. It seems however that the floor is such a simple machine that it shouldn't keep maXair down!?

I was there a couple of weeks ago and it was closed because of the wind.

On two instances that I know of on Coastermania day it was down twice both due to the floor not raising.

Make them jump off ;)

Delirium was closed all day yesterday. Not really sure why, wish it was open because I wanted to ride. There were heavy crowds at PKI yesterday, but none of the rides had a long line.

Yeah, I remember seeing it closed once on opening day because of the floor. Seems like the simplest part of the ride *rolls eyes*

It was closed today for a long while..i didnt feel to much wind at all...top thrill dragster also took longer than usual periods of not running, although they kept the people in the lines rather than throwing them out. They should really install 'mist fans' and an awning over the dragster viewing stands.
