I was on http://geaugaguide.com forums recently and they linked to a picture on Windows Live Local, I didn't notice this before, but they have AMAZING satellite images of all the websites I've seen!!

This one webpage shows a satellite image of maXair, although a little late, but you can see it was still under construction.
Bird's eye is yet the best feature of any satellite image website!! *** Edited 9/3/2006 6:30:28 AM UTC by stormchaser889***
^ Nonono, Keith, this isn´t about Windows Live Local. It´s about the construction of maXair. Didn´t you read the headline? ;)

Yeah, it may have already been posted, and you may know everything Keith, but there are some people that don't, so it may be news to them.
Is it money out of your pocket to have this thread?

So is this thread about the construction of maXair or not? That´s what I´M trying to figure out...

This is about Windows Live Local, not the construction. But the cool part of it shows the construction of maXair from space. I'm also showing how old these cache images of space are.
^ Then I suggest that you edit your topic title, since "maXair construction" isn´t the main topic here.
Yes, we can see "a picture" of maXair under construction (it ain´t live you know ;), now what a terrible lag that would be then... ). "Bird Eye" view is not shot from space, but from a plane.

Is it really from a plane?

Maverick perhaps? I wanna RIDE ON.
If it isn't, that's one impressive satellite. The pictures are taken on an angle. A plane is the only way you can do that, I guess a bird could pull it off too, but I can't see that happening. :)

Are we really suggesting that entire site was shot by from a plane?

I guess so... since a satellite couldn´t have done it. Or maybe someone with really long legs ;)

i'm guessing our Government has a chunk of change to spend on satellites, and this may be something that it can do!
but, i've been wrong before!
Greg
Do any of you guys realize that much of the "satellite" photos we see on Google Earth and Windows Live Local are taken from airplanes and funded privately or through the USGS, who was going to be doing the surveying anyway?
Other than the "Bird Eye Views", no. I thought the rest was pure satellite images.
