Can anyone remember a coaster that took this long to construct? They were so intent on removing WWL as quickly as possible, working through the winter, following summer, and next winter to get to where they are today -and yet this isn't a project of extreme heights or radical new design element that would require it. I think it might just qualify as the worlds longest coaster construction project. Does anyone know of a coaster that took longer to build?
Every roller coaster Diney and Universal ever built. X at SFMM took quite a while and TTD was under construction for some time as well.
The scope of the project and getting everything done for May 2007 required that they had to get started early. They could have done it in shorter time, but weather, crew cost, and construction issues might have stalled things, so their solution was to play it safe.

This is definately not the longest coaster ever built. A coaster in Florida is being built(I think the Starliner) which they started in 2003. It has JUST gone vertical a couple weeks ago. We can't forget the Ravine Flyer II. They announced it god knows when and they just got permission for an access road to help build it. This was still a long process though.
