Maverick Will Not Be Open Today?

i just looked at the Today In The Park page on cp.com and it says that mav will not be open today. Does anyone know if its open right now?

Ummm, just a hunch but I'd say yes.

i was just wondering why it said it, ok. I know it was working today. I just want to know if it's working now.

Theres an empty train sitting in the pre-launch position at the bottom of the hill. I wonder if this is because of weather or if magnums incident stopped everything.

Whats magnums accident?

Must have been weather because its running again.

^I beleive two trains "bumped"

Right before the station on Magnum, 2 trains bumped. One was stopped and the other one was going about 10mph. I think there was only 3 minor injuries and it will probably be running pretty soon hopefully. There are threads going about that.

It actually says for Sunday on their page that Maverick will not be open today - I wonder if they mean magnum?

most likely, they said they'd be keepin magnum closed for a while until they find and fix the problem, hopefully they didnt actually mean maverick, that would suck, 2nd day open and its closed, bummer

The webcam shows Maverick running today, Sunday, 9:23 a:m

Wow. I didn't think Magnum would be open today.

I just called Park Operations to confirm/deny the report of Magnum being open and they said there is no chance Magnum will be open today. However, they did say Maverick is open and fully operational.

I hope Magnum is open by Wednesday. I don't suppose they gave you any indication on when it might be open again?

PO: Magnum is closed today due to a maintenance issue. We are working on the situation and hope to have a statement to release to the media in the next few days.

Me: So, If I'm planning on coming to the park in the next couple days just to ride Magnum, I'd be better off just staying home.

PO: Yes, that would be a wise decision.

At first, I think they thought I was media. I probably got more information out of them than they wanted to share with the general public.
