Maverick Wait Times?

I was just wondering how long you think Mavericks wait will be? Do you think it will be as bad as Milliennium Forces opening season wait. I just wanted your thought.

I'm guessing Maverick will be a flop and have no waits.

In all seriousness, wait times for a ride that hasn't opened yet is ridiculous.

I don't think as many people will come to Cedar Point just for Maverick like they did for Millennium Force. But, Maverick doesn't have the same capacity as MF either. So, its any body's guess what the queues will be like.

Just have to wait and see Colts fan. Maverick should prove to be a big hit.

The reason I ask is because I only come to the park around once every 2 years and I don't want to not ride it because it has a long wait.

Well it's just too hard to tell right now. Dont forget that you have to factor in other things, like weather and when you go.

The trip is July 12. Right in the middle of summer. But I seriously shouldn't worry about it. If things work out great and if not I'll ride their other 16 roller coasters.

july 12th is probably the worst day to go. Right smack dab in the middle of summer.

ps. Halloweekends Saturdays are insanely packed as well. You basically walk shoulder to shoulder. The traffic on those Saturdays is a living Nightmare as well.

^ Very true with both of them. Me and my friend went at the end of july last year on a saturday. And I went with the rec department during Halloweekends on a friday, I think. But if you go to the park and it is busy and their are nothing but long lines on everything, you should still wait in the long lines to ride because it is alot better then walking around the park complaining doing nothing like we did during halloweekends. It is alot more fun and you can get at least a little more then just walking around and hitting all of the little rides, Thats just what I learned.

Saturdays in October are quickly becoming the most crowded days of the year.

I knew the second I heard that July 12 was the date of the trip it could be a crowded day. I think it has somewhat to do with luck. I went on July tenth a year ago and my longest wait was on Millennium Force, but it was only 50 minutes the rest of the waits were half and quarter hour waits. Its either going to be a good day for waiting or a bad day for waiting but whatever type of day it is I'll just be happy I'm going.

Do the VIP thing. Then you don't have to wait for ANYTHING. You can ride Maverick 100 times if you want with 0 minutes wait. :)

July 12 is a Thursday though. I went on July 10 or 11 last year, a Monday/Tuesday and it was nice and sunny all day. Not bad lines at all. The worst was Raptor in the afternoon sun was about an hour. It's all luck of the draw.

Last year when I went on July 12th and 13th, a thursday and Friday, it was packed. The only upside was we had the BEST weather I've ever had a Cedar Point, I needed a sweatshirt after dark.

I went in early May last year and walked on almost everyhting. late night dragster was a walk on, they were waiting for people to ride, and it took longer to walk through the line then wait in it

Currently the wait for Maverick is 91 days, 18 hours, 45 minutes. Of course, that's only an approximation to the nearest 15 minutes. It could be off. ;)

When I went in '07, the wait times for Maverick were between 15 and 300 minutes, depending on the time of day.

Early May is the time to go for short wait times.

I bet it won't be that long of a wait.

It's nice tho that there getting another big ride. That way, when the park opens everybody won't go to TTD or MF (hopefully). Now there are 3 possible outcomes.
