Maverick Wait Times

How have the wait times for Maverick been lately? How do you think they will be July 1-3 or July 5-7?

In my (self-proclaimed) expert opinion, Jul 1-3: 60-90 mins on average, Jul 5-6: 2 hours-ish, give or take, on average, July 7: 60-90 on ave.

None of us can tell you what the wait times on a given day will be. That depends on the crowds, the weather and whether or not a particular ride is operating. A midsummer weekend is busy, but other factors will determine exactly how busy a ride is that day.

Sounds like chaos theory. If a butterfly flaps its wings over the Atlantic Ocean, does it make Maverick break down?

If the wind is out of the east, then yes.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

You know even though the wait times might me an hour to hour and a half it feels really short because of the queue music and the atmosphere. Plus the line seems to move alot quicker then it says cause the Cedar Point crews are quick!!!

If your going to go on this ride a couple times during the ride make sure you have good shoes on cause after waiting in line for it three times my legs were killing me!!!! Not to mention that Mantis killed my feet!

I always thought that when the upper que, and the lower que are completely full its about 1.5 hours or so.

Edited for me being stupid.

Firemen never die, they just burn forever in the hearts of the people whose lives they saved

When did this become a discussion about pool? ;)

I know that we have not had great luck to get on the Maverick until last Thursday. We waited for about a hour and finally made it! I loved that ride!!! I have been trying to get on it since last fall. Last year I had season passes for Geauga Lake only and for my sons birthday we took him to Cedarpoint for the first time. And we went on the busiest day of the season! The wait would have been 4 hours! For Christmas I bought the platnum passes so we can check out more parks since they closed Geauga Lake. On opening day we waited for 2.5 hours and the ride kept breaking down. They loaded us on the ride and took us off and it was shut down for the day. The next time we went it was down. The third time we went my son was recovering from a shoulder injury. But We finally made it! It was awesome!

Life is like a rollercoaster! It is full of ups and downs
