Maverick Tunnel

Hello guys. I noticed when I was at the park on sunday that the blue lasers were working in the maverick tunnel. I was very happy to see this and it gives me hope that Matt Ouimet will fix all of the lights at Cedar Point. Also I was thinking that for halloweekends it would be cool if they rethemed maverick to make it haunted. I think this would be very cool and would scare people while they were riding.

They've been on since at least Labor Day weekend.

I'm sure the CEO of a billion dollar corporation was putting his attention to tunnel lights in Maverick.

I saw him with his tool belt and hard hat on the other day.

Why does everyone here take things so literally? I was just stating that I thought the fixed tunnel lighting was in part due to Matt Ouimet. Because for many years while Dick Kinzel was in office, they were not working. And considering the giant wheel lighting package came in with Matt Ouimet, I was suggesting that the same would go for the maverick tunnel lighting.

Or maybe, just maybe the CEO let the General Manager off of his leash, and gave him some freedom to do things his way.

You get used to it after awhile.

My bet: He told all of his park GMs to see to it that all theming is maintained/working. They took it from there.

Now all we need is the Maverick sound effect back where you would hear a mad horse tromping. :)

And the train crossing bells.

It use to have that? Wow that would have been really cool back in the day. Hopefully most of the effects will return.

Because for many years, the CEO of this billion dollar company WAS involved personally in decision making at that level.

It's hard to break old habits and realize the new CEO is more about empowering the people who make those decisions than having to be the one who makes those decisions.

Ouimet better grab his hard hat and tool belt. Lasers were not working in the tunnel yesterday. At least in the first half of the evening. I did not make it back later to see if they were working towards the end of the nite.

They were not working Friday at any point and I rode it several times.
