I think overall the theming on Maverick is above par for Cedar Fair. It's not up to Disney quality but for Cedar Fair (even the former Paramount Parks) it is very nicely done.
The station and Que house are very nicely themed as well as the rock canyon's looking much better that I expected them too.

The whole area looks amazing. The nice new wooden fences all around, the station, the canyons, and even the trees are a good size and it all looks great. Once it opens and the area gets more people back there everything will come together and look amazing. Usually once a new ride is built it is apparent it is new because the land around it is bare but Maverick fits in so well. Imagine what it will look like in 10 years.

When I first got over to Chick-fil-a and turned towards the old WWL station, my jaw dropped. Walking along that short path I was thinking "Wow, they really pulled this off in a very nice way." And then when I turned the corner again and was facing the main entrance plaza, I did a double take at what it looked like. Honestly, I thought after they fixed up the old games area when they put in maXair, that they did an amazing job at revitalizing the area. Then I saw the Maverick area, and my mind was blown at how great it looked. I can't wait to see it filled with people once the ride opens. The level of themeing with Maverick is far above what I would have expected at Cedar Point.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
If Maverick feels as good as it looks, it wins hands down my vote. I'm going to mention the station/queue house again just because I like it so much. I'll voluntarily wait in line for Maverick just for the heck of it. :)

If we have the same day off sometime this summer, I'll join you. :) What they did with the WWL station was genius, in my opinion, and will be a life saver if you're waiting for it in the middle of the day/early afternoon.

There are no fans or misters in the queue...unless you want to set off the sprinkler system in the queue house. ;)
If you think the station is amazing from the exterior, just wait until you are on the platform and see the gorgeous view we have. It's like taking the best sights from Millennium Force's unload station and Mean Streak's station. I think we're going to be the new platform that management will be visiting to monitor storm developments.
