I was just curious as to whether or not anyone had ever found for sure if the main theme music for Maverick was an original song for the ride or something previously published. I assumed it was composed for Cedar Point, but now I am hearing it played other places, such as during the victory lap at the NASCAR All-star race as well as at the end of this Vault commercial.

I've always wanted an mp3 of the song, but assumed it was not public. Anyone know more?
I know some of the songs used to be from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly soundtrack!!
But if you can (apparently) e-mail CP to ask what songs play in the MF queue, I'm guessing you could do the same for the Mav!! :)
While I can't tell you for sure if the song is easily available on its own to a regular every day person like you or me, I can tell you that I have it. :)
My guess is it is one of those production pieces similar to the former laser show pre-show music (which I also have, thanks to a thread on here quite a while ago). Those particular songs were to the best of my recollection, only available as a part of a pack of production music. I believe it was a pack of like 50 or 100 pieces, and if that's the case, then the Maverick theme could very well be from that same production pack.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
My guess is it is a free production song. TV and Movies use a lot of copyright free material. It could even be from like www.freeplaymusic.com or any other similar site.
It is stock music. The park paid for exclusive rights for a period of time.
^^Stock music excluding the music from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly...if they're still playing that any more...
Thanks for the answers. I did not know about stock music, so I guess you learn something new every day. That probably makes it nearly impossible to find, though.
I seem to recall that in prior years, they played theme songs to some of the old TV westerns. I wonder why the change? Kind of liked it better the original way.

I have it too BlueStreak64. If you think back a little bit it actually was "available" to the public... it just was not easy to get to it :)
