I would have thought you'd come up with this Ensign:
Ohio, the western frontier. These are the voyages of the coaster Maverick. Its continuing mission-- to thrill strange young teens, to seek out new families and new anticipations, to boldly go where no coaster has gone before.
Goodbye MrScott
John
Ugh, you do realize that Maverick is a proper name and thus it is not "the" Maverick? That is rather obnoxious, and entirely unacceptable due to the fact that summer is no longer and thus now is school.
Well, go back and read through more of the Maverick threads "4lyf". You'll then see where the joke come from. :)
Also, I don't know if we should take english lessons from someone who spells life, "lyf." LOL!! :)
Um, yeah, I was thinking like a dweeb at the moment I made that :) And what the heck, your user name isn't a word, how do you know I didn't make up something or that it doesn't stand for something? Huh?? :P
And that was a joke? Because I find that rather messed up as that has been mentioned many times but you people just won't stop making such a mistake. *** Edited 9/12/2006 8:20:30 PM UTC by topthrilldragster4lyf***
Josh, you're referring to a state whose top university found a need to precursor its name with a worthless article - "the" Ohio State University.
Goodbye MrScott
John
The Ohio State University may be the largest university, but I'd hardly call it the "top" university.
My joke was actually referring to a member that insists on putting "the" in front of every roller coaster name. Also, that article in the Beacon Jounal the other day called it "the Maverick" and we had a nice joke about it.
exit, the name of my company isn't capitalized. Is that bad? :)
I remember seeing it, and strained to keep myself from leaving a constant stream of OSU jokes in the thread.
I know there is the occassional newbie that wants to throw "the" in front of coaster. I didn't realize it was a consistant thing.

Is there a branch of U of M in Ohio?

^^ Yeah, I know. I've been through that, it just seems to get a bit old after awhile. Don't take offense, it's Jugga who right now seems to have a grudge against me.
And yes, Jugga, there is a U of M branch in OH. It's called U of M Sandusky, and its located on a Lake Erie peninsula, also known as Cedar Point. It only costs $29.95 per day until Sept 15th, and is open to everyone and anyone. :)
Jugga torments everyone. That's what makes it fun. Just torment him back.
U of M wishes they had a branch in Ohio. They didn't meet the minimum educational requirements for the state, so they weren't permitted to open. I hear they keep trying, but keep failing. Must be a statewide issue. :)
Oh snap!
I hear they also lack the ability to win tight rivalries when it counts lately as well. I'm predicting ND comes out at with at least a two touchdown lead at the end of it all. For this game, go Irish! :)

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

How...could I...have been...so... blind? (Shatnerian emphasis added)
I've been working on this one for a while:
Sung to the tune of the Brady Bunch:
Here's the story of a roller coaster
They were building at the tip of Cedar Point.
Four Intamins, standing all together
What a lovely joint.
The Maverick, The Maverick
That's the way they designed the Maverick.
But it still kind of sucks, y'know?

What is the deal with "Oh, Snap"?
Isn't that from like 1997?
eat. sleep. ride! - Coaster apparel and accessories!
Ride on, MrScott!
This ride better freakin' play the score from The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly in it's queue. If it doesn't, it will be one of the worst wasted opprotunities I've ever seen.
edit: gee, Ben, last time I checked "queue" and "cue" were two different words... *** Edited 9/13/2006 1:50:50 AM UTC by Boris the Spider***
Sorry, Tim. You want I should warn you next time or something? ;)

Some don't deserve better than a comeback from 1997. ;)
Kind of like the little kids at the local pool. Everytime a lifeguard would tell them to stop doing something their comeback was "Your mom." I kid you not, at least 99% of the time that is what they said.
