Maverick Camera Moved. Emmmkay.

Yay for watching the pond and all the geese and roller coasters fly by.

Actually, I don't know why they'd move it, but its nice to see a change.

I figured I'd post this before someone posted "OMG THEY MOVED T3H CAMZ!! OMG!!111".

Carry on.

The pond cam was moved off of Skyhawk awhile back.

I think it was the construction cam he was referring to. It's no longer pointed at the lift hill. It's now pointing at the station. It will be nice to see the station going up once the park closes.

To those who wonder, the answer is 12 minutes. :)

...New record, Walt?

No, it's just an inside joke. :)

ha, and the once a week i actually have time to see it, it changed. i figured it was recent, didn't know it was only 12 minutes.

Clearly Walt was just pointing out how long it took for somebody to notice the moved camera. *** Edited 10/26/2006 8:21:59 PM UTC by ramboozle***

Hail to the Victors

I know that. I meant that I was asking Walt if a new record had been set for noticing it.

...Anyway, this "new angle OMG" was either to let people watch station construction, or is the works of a particularly malicious seagull. ;)

EDIT: There's a new 10-second clip, it seems, when Maverick's homepage opens. Also, new construction photos. Pretty good ones, too!

It only took them 7 minutes to reposition the camera and they never turned it off.

http://www.rollercoasterfreak.com/Cedar_Point/2006-10-26/index.htm

And they started moving it at 2:28:08. So, it took nearly 30 minutes for a post regarding it.

My post wasn't in reference to that. Like I said, it was an inside joke.

Okay, my bad. I made an educated guess. Clearly I am not a part of that special group of insiders.

Um, OK.

What a strange thread.

Did you expect a thread about the webcam being ROTATED 30 degrees to be "normal"?

Which brings up question number two, what is a "normal" thread around here?

Goodbye MrScott

John

Put simply, an abnormal thread other places :)

This is Funny, we are talking about how long it takes to move a webcam and how we set a record on it. Good Joke Walt! Anyway though I like the new position of the webcam. It's like I got my wish, because I recently made a suggestion after they were done with track work to move the camera. They must have read my post.

I think it's funny when people outside an inside joke think they're inside.

By the way, I'm outside too, but it's still funny :)
