Marina Entrance- A Good Way To Beat Crowds?

I was wondering, would the marina entrance be a good way to beat crowds tp MF in the morning, or is that "old guy" still there that never opens the gate on time? Thanks!

All gates should be opened at the same time and as long as they are that gate is a good spot to get a head start on the crowd towards MF.

I think the old guy is still there. I have never had a problem with him opening on time.
