Mantis Trains

After going to SFMM and seeing Riddler's Revenge opperate so smoothly and quickly with the 3 trains, why does Mantis only run with two. I can see that they do have a third train, but what is the reason that it does not run with three trains?

Constant Stacking

that and isnt riddler's revenge longer than mantis? its like almost 400ft longer and 20 secs slower than mantis. it might be a small amount, but it adds up and which is why they have the extra time to load 3 trains

The ride ops also don't go around and make sure everyone is properly standing. Many people sit, and have their restraints locked that way.

At Cedar Point, it's a write up for a low-seat violation. At SFMM, it's standard operating procedure.

So, it is more efficiant to just run two trains?

Yea, just because the stacking on that ride gets so ridiculous.

I remember being one of those "third" trains waiting and waiting on Mantis, I love them running a two train operation. I think, or so it seems, things move faster that way.

I agree bholcomb, SFMM didn't even care how you were riding on Riddler's Revenge. I think honestly, I was the only freaking person standing! I could have sworn that Riddler's Revenge was a stand up coaster, I may have been wrong (if you want to sit, go ride Batman or Scream..lol)!!! I couldn't believe the ride host at SFMM didn't even correct the guest!

These are the times I am grateful that CP is so "strict" on how to properly ride the ride (according to manufacturer rules lol).

Cedar Point, Americas rip- rockin', high flyin', sky defyin', record breakin' roller coast

I was at Magic Mountain a few years ago and too witnessed people riding Riddler's Revenge in every position imaginable. I'd rather only operate two trains and have people riding properly. After all, heaven forbid you stand on a stand-up coaster.

Cedar Point rocks my socks.
