Mantis Tallest

With the Travel Channel doing the show about amusment parks and the best ones. Well when they got to Cp they said that Mantis is the tallest and steepest stand up coaster on earth. How did they get this?

People screw up, like the admission of CP on the A&E coaster top 10. I'll bet Robin didn't care about that mistake since it actually made CP look better!

Trim brakes-a necessity???

That was an old show.. If you watch the POV video they show.. there are no trim-brakes on the first hill of Mantis.

It wasn't an old show. They mentioned it on Best Thrill Parks (MF was mentioned too). They just got their facts wrong.

Well it still is the steepest stand up, just not the tallest.

I caught some of the mistakes. Did you see how they messed up the stats for Desperado?? It's 225ft and goes 95mph.

Yeah, I bet...The last time I checked, physics have stayed the same, and Desperado only goes 80.

The thing about Desperado running at 90+ MPH comes from the ride ops at Buffalo Bill's. I was there less then a month ago, and this guy is standing there telling everyone it goes 90. Of course, I had to correct him, but I suspect that many of the people on the platform believed him no matter what the truth is. 90 just sounds so much better then 80.

Well, Mantis is the tallest standup, but only if you do not count Riddler and Chang;)!
Is Mantis the steepest? It's definately the roughest!

Only 2290½ miles from Cedar Po!nt

Here are a few things I caught. They called Magnum a "Mega" coaster. They had footage of Laser Loop at Kennywood. They said Oblivion had a 90 degree drop.

They also said that Cedar Point was the park with the most coasters and we all know that thats now wrong. :(

They got that from when Mantis was built it was the tallest and fastest stand-up rollercoaster.Now I think it is Riddlers Revenge,but I'm not sure
