One question though, I've been getting the old "MaXpass" but with the platinum pass, can I still get in an hour early and where can I find the benefits of the "Platinum"

Yes you can still get in one hour early.

The pain level for me on Mantis was a 6/10 for 10 being the worst.

I've arrived in Sandusky and already took a quick visit to CP (by boat actually) and rode just Mantis and DT. I got problems with Mantis but it wasn't bad YEAH!!! But DT needs to be destroyed. I will be glad to see a flyer or a diver in its area =D

Say all you want, but CP ain't getting one. After dinner I went back to CP just to ride Mantis again and this time it hurt. I attempted to lean with the turns and inversions and IT HURT. Millennium Force made up for the Banshee's pain though (I still got bruises up and down my left leg)

How the heck did you get bruises on your leg from Mantis? Did the person next to you kick you a few times?

^^ Did you keep your head foward outside of the restraints and brace your body onto the restraints instead of leaning back?

No, I did what everyone else said to do and it did and didn't work. I also had very painful pressure on my legs after the dive loop uintill the end of the ride. I'm going back to Cedar Point all day in about 30 min. I'll try again. Every time I've been going this week, Banshee's line is a bout 10 min or less. Even Millennium Force was 30 min. at 1.00pm. :)

If you actually just stood like you stood in line with your feet all the way back and not bending your knees you're not going to hurt all that much.

It's soooo nice to have internet access with a blackberry here at CP. I'm waiting in line for Maverick right now, ha, only 1 hour long :)

Mantis is a no-go for me for the rest of the day, maybe tommorow.

^ I posted on here on my iPhone while going up Maggie's lift one time. I love wireless internet access. But the speed is just okay, nothing like FiOS.

Mantis was not that bad when I went on it 2 days ago. I rode it like I would Raptor with my legs UP and it was fine. Who cares if that is not how you really ride Mantis oh well.

Most of Mantis seems just fine to me, but there are two turns that are fun, but beat the crap out of me at the same time. This is one of them:

It tends to lift me up and then throw me into the side of the seat, especially if you are sitting on the very left side and towards the back. Otherwise, Chang at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom has a very similar layout to Mantis and it seemed much less rough to me, but also less intense, so you decide. :)

The "seat" on mantis isn't really meant for sitting on, its just to keep you from falling out. How could that have been comfortable at all?

Maybe they enjoy sitting on really uncomfortable things? Who are we to judge...

Noooo......I DO NOT LIKE TO SET ON COMFORTABLE THINGS!! Only parts of the ride did I ride it legs up because my legs REALLY HURT from the pressure. I got used to it and rode it normally and it was fine. My Raptor/Mantis was only for a few short seconds, but hey it worked!

So you do like to sit on UNcomfortable things?

I was in Louisville for a basketball tournament and I went on Chang at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom and it had a very similar layout to Mantis but it absolutely killed my legs. There was alot of pressure on my legs and me and the people with me all noticed it. I personally don't find Mantis to be very bad at all. The fact that it is rough makes it more exciting to me but thats just me.
