While in Sandusky the other day, I was talking to a girl who said she works at the Point and heard that the park operartions peeps are calling on B&M to change the MANTIS from a STAND-UP to a FLOORLESS COASTER in 2002..becuase to many peeps are complaining about the seats and the STAND-UP COASTERS are to much work... I Doubt it will happy...but an interesting thought none the less..
I don't think they can change the trains.. at least not without a lot of work. I think they'd have to change the station a LOT.
I'm pretty sure the trains would work fine. The station would need some work, but it wouldn't cost much more than probably 1 million to do. I don't want them to do it because I think that Mantis is awesome as is, and I think a floorless would actually make it a little tamer...not as exciting. Don't mess with Mantis...it's one of my favs.

I wish they would do something with Mantis, I think Stand-Up coasters are dead anyway. Mantis is hard on the male croch area.

I agree.. it can hurt sometimes.. Why do the trains have those damn bicycle seats? Is it just to keep stupid people from trying to get out of the restraints? If so, I think they should come up with something new to do that..
Next to raptor and maybe Apollo I think the Mantis layout is my favorite of the B&M's, I would love to ride the same layout in an inverted form. A floorless version would be interesting.
