Mantis 3rd train?

Capacity for Mantis was billed as 1800 per hour with 3 trains running. Stacking or not, that's probably pretty accurate. If you're only running 2 trains.......Pretty simple math huh!
Waiting time depends more on the time between dispatches than on the number of trains in operation. The fact that there is stacking indicates that the loading/unloading process is the bottleneck, not the number of trains.

Adding trains to the operation only makes sense if there is idle time in the station (no train to load, employees just hanging around). If the station has a continuous workload, it doesn't matter if you are running 3 trains or 30 trains. The capacity will be determined by the time it takes between two successive dispatches.

I totally agree, Dan! I'd love to see it as a Floorless

That's what I've been saying all summer, but not as a floorless, as that would require a retrofit of the whole station. I'd say throw some sitdown trains on there, and we're ready to roll.

Robfb, that is one of the most intelligent explanations I have heard around here in some time.  You explained it a lot better than I did.
The first time I rode Mantis was sitting down...it was really boring.
Robfb...Something just isn't adding up. If what you're saying is true, then why were the waiting lines and times so much longer this year compared to the 5 previous years? The time between dispatches, obviously then, had to have been quicker in the past than they were this year. That being said, there's only a couple of reasons the time between dispatches has slowed down so much; Either the crew isn't getting people on and off fast enough or there's a lack of a 3rd train. I believe the latter.

I was super before Superstew was cool!

They should be like SFMM and just dispatch reguardless if you are standing or not.
Seriously Riddler's line moves pretty fast because once in the station, they say "all seats will be locking on my count of three, two, one, and lock. Very seldomly do they reset. Those rare occasions are because someones feet arent touching the ground.

Mantis is a stand up coaster. Its a very good stand up coaster. It should definintely remain a stand-up coaster. And I can't wait to see it in full glory with its new paint job.  Now i'm going to get a drink of water in my Mantis freezy cup thingy.....and put on my Mantis t-shirt.....
