Extra points to anyone who notices what's wrong with the picture, and WHY it's that way. (You can't play Dave, sorry.)

CP management should have had nothing to say about it; it wasn't their ride yet, and he is not employed by their company.

All true, but if he falls off, CP gets some of the PR nightmare along with S&S. I guess in the end it comes down to being part of how the company views S&S overall as a ride manufacturer.
As for what's wrong...I have no clue. But now I am very curious. :)

Is it that the control center in the middle hasn't been built yet?

It appears the structure that runs between the two towers on the right side of the picture is not in place yet. As for why, I have no idea.
All I can say is that is scary! I'm not afraid of heights as long as I know I feel comfortable. So being in a Roller Coaster I feel safe. Standing on top of Power Tower on the very top like this guy is just nerve wracking.
Ralph gets half a point. The part was actually there before this pic was taken. They ran into a problem with the angle needed for the jib on the crane to place the top piece. That section didn't allow them to place the top so it was removed to do the top piece then replaced.Good eye Ralph..

It's odd that Power Tower remains the only quad combo tower in the world. The photo is also interesting with the absence of Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster down below. Lots of changes in that area in the past 12 years.

It's not that odd. Most parks don't have the need for the capacity that a quad tower would provide. Heck, even Cedar Point doesn't use all 4 towers a lot of the time.

For some odd reason I was thinking about this topic today, which is why I"m bringing back this topic. I already have questions in my head of how they were able to get the cable in from the top? That's one question. My second question is how did this guy even get up there? Did he climb the maintenance ladders in the tower or did Cedar Point set-up a special crane with the bucket for this guy?
