Making Room?

I have heard in the past that White Water Landing may be close to its final year along with some surrounding attractions? Is it true that CP is looking to clear out some space and build? Just curious,. Good idea though, there is alot of space back there if you took some things out. CP should seek room in another area also...Disaster transport...i think its had its day...its time is coming...hey a new ride over there would only improve "Oceanic Midway"!

Boy I hope not. I mean, yeah white water landing is not the most exciting ride, but it is a beautiful one in the way it's themed, as it seems nothing else is anymore. Plus I kinda like going on a water ride and not getting DRENCHED. If we lose it, it will become another pirate ride and I will miss it greatly.

We need to petition to get the CP execs to bring back theming...

But I wouldn't mind seeing DT go, it's a fun ride and it brings back great memories of avalanche run but it is losing its appeal. I think, if they do remove something, they need to build something other than the "worlds tallest, fastest..." Don't get me wrong, I love those rides, but I also like the balance of excitement and character within the park. The more and more CP bulldozes to make room for excitement and we lose the character, the more this balance is upset.

Do you want a parking lot full of giga-coasters or a theme park? I personally opt for the latter.

You know, there really has not been as much loss of the trees as everyone implies. Look at MF. It was built in and amongst the trees and it is one of the biggest coasters in the world.

Dragster forced the removal of some trees but to be honest the midway there prior to Dragster was a real bottleneck that needed to be opened up anyway. It was always a zoo over there.

Cedar Point will never be a theme park. They are quite proud to call themselves and amusement park. If they were a theme park they wouldn't even be in the top ten of theme parks while they can certainly qualify as the top amusement park.
