Main Midway Flowers?

Have they started planting these yet? Just curious.

Yes, I saw them when I was in the park 2 days ago.

I think the goal is generally to have most of the planting/flowering ready for memorial day and beyond, when things really kick into high gear.

I love the flowers on the Main Midway. They sure do know what they are doing to make it beautiful!

I didn't see them last weekend but they might have started to plant them.

Wicked Twister is the child of Mean Streak and Gemini. Get it?

The Flag Flowers (that you can see from Cedar Downs) were planted by Sunday (25th) they weren't filled in yet, but they have begun.

I noticed the flowers, especially the flag, on Sunday/Monday when I went. The red and white stripes are two different begonias, and the blue field is ageratum. The stars are the same white begonias used for the stripes. I'm a plant bio nerd, sue me. :)

For what it's worth, I find it a poor choice to plant barberry along some of the walkways, especially around Lighthouse Point. They are thorny buggers, and no fun to brush up against walking down the pathways. Otherwise, I thought the landscaping around LH Point was really well-done this year.

They look very nice from the Sky Ride, especially how precise the flags and Maverick logo looked last year.

Can someone take pictures of the progress the next time they go, to show us? It would be appreciated by most!
