Magnums ejector seat?

I'm going to CP in a week, and I've heard that Magnum has a REALLY short line. I am hoping to get a bunch of Magnum rides in. I am wondering where the ejector seat is on it? Thanks you your help!

car 1 row 3, it is a good air time ride, although i love the very back of magnum. nothing like getting whipped over the hill!

I haven't really noticed the great difference in the ejector seat. Sure, you do get tossed around a little bit more, but it's not that much better. I'd actually prefer the front or back.

Also CPteen, you may want to change you signature to 420 feet high instead of 400.

Egg nog... how'd they think that up?

Well the difference is the air time over the second hill, i didn't touch the seat that much over that hill.

By the way, pagoona, thanks for catching my error! I've changed it.

What i found most about the "ejector seat" is that the ride is ten times mroe rough than any other seat on the train. i'm not talking about air time, but my back actually hurt a little as i was walinking down the ramp, and im 18!
Forewarned about 1-3, there is not much padding on the lap bar and they "self-staple." What does that mean? Pain on the return trip over every bunny hop as you are thrusted from your seat into the lap bar. It's always worth one ride though. :) I personally like 1-2, much smoother and still get good air.
I'm with Lori (OK, actually, I'm not "with" Lori, but I agree with her).

It never matters how loose I leave the lapbar on Magnum, it winds up back down and jamming my thighs on the bunny hops. I'm done with 1-3.

The only thing other than CP that Steelers and Browns fans agree on

I am surprised Dan hasn't came in here and deffended his seat on his baby!

I personally like the very back, maybe even the last couple rows. They all have GREAT airtime! :)

Yah, ejector is a little rough, especially if you're not used to it. If I'm in ejector, I'll usually hold up the lap bar with one hand to keep it from self stapling to make it less painful.

Note: By holding the bar up, I am not suggesting that I "cheat" and leave it ultra-loose to get air. The bar is still down at a safe level.

I've found that pulling the seatbelt pretty tight makes the lap bar much easier on the thighs in 1-3.

It's great to live in Ohio!

My son must have been in this seat because he came off the ride practically in tears!
I've found that 1-3 can be good or bad depending on the train. As long as you dont have an evil lap bar and don't get stapled, you should be good.

------------------
I own you!

My trick is not only to pull the seat belt tight as the train comes out of the turnaround, but also to grab the lap bar with my right hand and *lift up on it*. The purpose of this maneuver is not to prevent the lap bar from coming down, but rather to keep *me* from crashing upward into it and bruising my thighs.

Favorite seat on Magnum: 1-3.

Yes, 1-3 can hurt at times! Like joe said,it depends on different things such as trains, times, ect. A train can be rough one day and smooth as silk the next or vice versa. I do ride different seats, depending on lines or if I am riding with someone.

Personally,1-3 is my favorite as well. For the bunny hops,I do like Dave says, hold bar to keep from slamming into it.

Whenever riding coasters anywhere,I try front, back and back of the front car. I have found that the back seat of car one has the most forceful airtime. I am no physics major, but think it is because: as the first car crests a hill, the rest of the train is pushing. So therefor, you get "ejected" up.

Don't get me wrong. I do love back seat on Maggie as well, but there is something I love about feeling ejected!

Another one to try this out on is Blue Streak. Ride very back, then try 1-3. Same holds true.

I rode front seat on the Magnum and my thighs hurt really bad after I had gotton off. But front was fun, you just sit there and look down and then you go, great rollercoaster, would ride front seat again, just not push the lap bar down so far(they didnt check) so i kinda hurt myself by pushing it down too far.

As Dave said, 1-3 can be quite a bit of fun if you go for the "Magnum upper-body workout".
