I did this awhile ago and I just thought I would share it with you guys. I used one of the vinyl window stickers of magnums logo and it put it on my Wii. It might be kind of hard to see in the picture but in real life it looks pretty cool. It looks like its engraved in the side.

That looks pretty cool, I might have to do that now. I wish they would come out with a Maverick one.
better hope you never have to send it back to be fixed because once you do something to it they exclude the warranty. its happened to my friend.

On what planet will a sticker void a warranty?
On a planet where companies will do everything possible to get out of honoring a warranty.

Have you ever tried to get a major company to honor a warranty? You're better off doing whatever you want to do to enjoy the product, because you're most likely never going to see anything out of that warranty. It's the way business is done these days.
But the Wii looks awesome with that sticker on it.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you

I've never had a warranty voided by putting stickers on something.
Just because you haven't doesn't mean it can't happen. All the company has to do is say that you placing a sticker somewhere on the device prevented the device from operating properly, or caused the problem, and you'll automatically be voiding your warranty.

I think warranties are voided if you tamper with the system by opening it up. I don't think a sticker on the outside of the system is gonna affect anything on the inside. They can't void a warranty.
Okay... example: You place a sticker on your computer's air vent, causing it to heat up too much and not have proper ventilation, causing problems. You never tampered with the device internally, but your actions directly lead to the problem. Warranties only cover things that happen naturally... not "whoops, I dropped it down the stairs, here, you fix it."
Read the fine print; there are many ways one can void a warranty without ever opening the device. Check your Plasma or LCD TV's warranty... most companies will void your warranty if you've cleaned the screen with any type of product such as Windex, or the like.

As long as the sticker isn't over any critical port/vent, I would imagine it being very hard for them to prove the sticker actually did any damage to any critical part. The only possible reason I can see them being able to "validly" void the warranty would be to consider placing the sticker there as "modification" of the system. Yes, its a really crap cop out by the corporation, but, our laws have really given corporations free reign. Of course, there are a few companies out there that aren't always hell-bent on voiding your warranties, but they are few and far between.
As for the sticker, that does look pretty cool, and knowing that Apple loves stickers, if I had a MacBook instead of the aluminum Pro, I would probably have one on mine (love to make use of the stickers Apple gives you, have one on most of my hardware big enough to sport one, as well as on my back car window).

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
^ I have apple stickers everywhere on everything in my room. Im a huge apple fanboy, bring it on pc lovers.
Anyways about this warranty thing, my warranty is up anyways because I was one of those cool guys who stayed outside bestbuy in november of 2006 to get one of the first ones. I did have to use the warranty on that first one though ( graphics card went bad) and nintendo was actually very helpfull and im not certain it would have been that big of an issue if I had the sticker on it then. Also, one could always just take the sticker off before they hand it over. easy as that.
Thanks though to everyone who has complemented my idea! I think it looks cool, it stinks though because here in IL where Cedar Point is unheard of, no one knows what that sticker is of, so its good to here good things about it from you guys.

I really would hope they wouldn't claim that caused something if the sticker isn't over an opening of some sort. I mean, I doubt a sticker could seriously increase the amount of heat, as that is probably all that could happen.
That WII is even more of a badass now!

Witches Wheel has a 54 inch height requirement, I don't care if your child rode Dragster, Magnum or, Millenium, they are not tall enough for this one!
Save The Big Dipper!
^^ - if it was over a vent, it would very easily increase the heat inside the case.
It it's just on the side and not covering anything, there shouldn't be any issue with it.
