Magnum Track Replacement

Maggie was closed all day yesterday (Friday 5 September).

This morning at 7:30 AM, workers were welding replacement track rails in place.

I hope they manage to get my sentimental favorite open today, but id be surprised.

This is just after the pretzel, right before the tunnel.

My guess is this area of rail replacement is something they realized couldn't wait until the offseason but could wait until daily operations were complete. Better to have the ride down during this weird in between weekend than during a Halloweekends Saturday when a 3-train Magnum is easily the highest capacity ride in the park.

And for all those folks that want to see Magnum retracked, here you go!

Down again today. Kinda sux for me, my only 2 days here this year, from Florida. Wish they could've gotten it done during the weekdays this week when the park was closed.

On another note, I was really surprised by how much they've let Magnum rust. The support structure looks really bad, the whole things looks neglected. Ive never seen it like that before, and I dont remember it being nearly that bad last year.

Just now, Magnum was running test trains. It's possible it will open yet tonight!
