Magnum Rumor Turns 3

Today, the ever so famous "Magnum is Sinking" rumor turns 3.

Happy Birthday, um, rumor.
I heard that rumor 10 years ago.
Thats funny, i had an arguement with a kid at school about this the other day, some poeple are so damn stubborn *** This post was edited by 300FTMONSTER on 4/1/2001. ***
Oh, I know.

People at school still say it is sinking into "Erie River" as said by someone, and either a Korean, Chinese, Japanese, or Spanish park (depends on the person I talk to) has bought it, but Cedar Point wont give it up.

Wild stuff.
Does anyone have the original paper (Sandusky) that printed it? I'd love to have a view of the original source! :)

I seem to remember the originator of the rumor used to post on this site, but I can't remember who it was. Wasn't it in some type of employee newsletter or something?

It was in "Behind the Lines" a few years ago, but I don't know if that was the start of the rumor.

The person who started it has the screen name of Jenn. Actually, she was the co-creator.

Well, then, Happy Seventh Magnum Rumor!
Actually I'm surprised your coasters stand up so well. I'm sure that is not the worlds strongest land... Oh well, the rollercoaster worlds oldest rumor turns 7.

The "strength" of the land has nothing to do with a coaster sinking. If it is designed and engineering right, it wouldn't be able to sink since the footers go all the way down to bedrock.
