From an interview with Cleveland Indians first baseman Jim Thome.

Q. Favorite amusement park ride?

A. The Magnum at Cedar Point. It's an awesome roller coaster, and it's got sentimental value for me. I was on the Magnum when I learned I was going to the All-Star Game in 1997. (Indians media relations director) Bart Swain calls my cell phone when I'm on the hill and says, ‘You're going to the All- Star Game.' I was jacked.

Actually, in that same interview he stated he's only eaten I think three Thome Triples in his life...too many calories.

This was the first week in three or four that I haven't lost weight, and that's because of all the pigging out this weekend. I sure as hell wouldn't put a heart attack/blood clot on a stick in my body!
