For someone who has been on site, where exactly does the track on the descending side of the Magnum hill begin to bank in to the first turn going towards the first overbank on the island? Top, or the bottom pull-out?
The POV that badnitrus put together shows it at the bottom, but that seems a little extreme to me.
Insights?

Uh, I think you mean Millennium Force, not Magnum. The last time I checked Magnum didn't have overbanked turns.

Looking at those pictures CP has up at the official site, it seems to me that the bank onto the island turn-a-round does indeed begin toward the bottom of the Magnum Hill. We will be pulling some immense lateral g's there!

ddogg,
The third hill on Millenium Force has been nicknamed the Magnum Hill because of it's height(182 ft.) Thats what Seven was refering to.

Neil, the Magnum hill drop does tend to bank more toward the bottom, pulling in to the turn. Most of that first turn on the island is at or near 90 degrees. It's still not as amazing as standing in the middle of the second turn, though.
Interestingly enough, that's a cool section of the ride, where four sections of track are with a few dozen feet of each other.

Lateral G's indeed Dave! Jeff, you're insight about several sections of the track being within a few feet is interesting, giving more of a head-chopper illusion (and the tunnels too!)
BTW, It was nice meeting you at Kennywood today!
Monster, thanks for clarifying ddogg

Does anyone know how steep the Magnum hill and the 100' return hill are?
