With the talk of "water" coaster wars I am reminded of my desire to see a Master Blaster in Soak City.
I think it would be great to design one that followed the Magnum's circuit with the same corresponding hills, turnaround, etc. It just seems like Soak City is ripe for it.
I guarantee you that I would make a couple of trips to Soak City of I could get on one. In fact, I'm going to try to get up to Typhoon Lagoon soon with the addition of their 3 Blasters!

We haven't gotten combo passes in a couple years now, but if CP added a water coaster to SC, I'd up my season pass to a combo pass. Definitely.
I can't see them doing this anytime soon, though. They would prefer to lure people into staying at Castaway Bay.

A Master Blaster would be awsome, but I wouldnt like the idea of it fallowing the Magnum.

If I wanted to get wet, I'd jump in a pool. If I wanted to ride a roller coaster, I'd ride a roller coaster. The last thing I want to see are more "water" coasters being built than "roller" coasters.
And clearly your opinion is not the universal truth of the universe because such rides have been built, and they're wildly popular.

Mathyou has clearly never been on a Master Blaster. The Castaway Bay blaster is a nice idea but only X number of people are going to be able to stay at the hotel.
I am just amazed that Soak City has not received one up to this point.

What I would like is a "real" water roller coaster. It could be located near Magnum or in Frontier Town, with an appropriate theme. And since there are not a lot of water roller coasters on Earth, it would be easy for Cedar Point to break new world records on this specific category (highest or longest water roller coaster, for instance).
I don't know what you are all talking about ... I have been on Magnum many times and on really windy days it can feel like a water coaster. ;)
