OK, I've read in a few TRs and a couple other threads people saying the trims are gone. I only rode once, and I know they didn't grab, but are they truly gone from the ride? I didn't look until after I realized that we didn't slow down. If so, what brought this on?

As far as my eyes saw, the trims were in still the in the same place they have been for years. The wind was strong enough to do their job and kept them open all day, but no trims have actually been removed from the track.

As far as I know, the trim brakes are controlled by the computer, which interprets the parameters that have been set into in compared to the wind speed and speed of the train, and sometimes they just aren't needed.

Right, I know that, but I read some people in threads say they saw that the brakes were physically gone. That's why I ask. I know that when I rode it I said to my dad "I bet we barely make it over the second hill. We take the first drop, up the second hill, and he quickly turned and looked at me in amazement when we slowed way down over the hill. Granted, not close to a rollback, but slow nonetheless. I think I worded the question wierd. I should have said, if the brakes have been physically removed, what brought this on.

No the brakes were not gone. I saw them there intact. They were off as there was a strong head wind. And yes it was going slowly over that second hill

Right, just like Gemini ran backward. No, I'm just kidding, I was there opening day and saw the brakes. I even felt the brakes grab when I rode it.

Yeah, it is, so they're selling it to PKI. That's why they're clearing out the area next to Beast, that's where Magnum will be. :):)
