You are correct. The air was great, but the WAY to short radius at the bottom of the hill resulted in a serious slam into the seats. The way it is now, you float/launch over the third hill and drop easily back into the seat. The first year you floated over the hill, reamined airborne down the drop and then slammed back down into the seat as the train landed (with a noticable thud of the wheels) back on the track. When the train began to descend, your body was still floating, so the train literally yanked you down (compliments of the unpadded lap bar). The landing was very rough. Once they increased the radius, the pull out was much more rideable. I rode it the second saturday it was open 7 times and my thighs were black and blue for two weeks. The air was great, but they needed to fix the drop and bottom of the hill. Trust me, it is MUCH better the way it is now, though I hate the trim.

Check out this photo. See where the horizontal beams are? That's where the track used to go.
So that's what those are for! Now I can see how the third hill was more intense, thanks for the info.
