Magnum Queue Music help

More obnoxious is MF's lame attempt at creating a club atmosphere. Most stuff I can tune out, but bad techno is like an itch you can't scratch. I mean, a techno version of Lou Reed's Perfect Day? That's more than a good man can bear.

The only problem with CP playing techno in line is that, as you allude to, it isn't very good (at least from my perspective). There's an almost limitless trove of excellent techno to choose from (probably at lower expense than the more popular stuff), and CP instead chooses relatively "pop" techno.

Yeah, definitely no swipe at electronic music in general (the underground faction of which intrigues me), but there's probably no other genre that suffers more stereotyping as a result of the awfulness of its "popular wing." I seriously doubt that the MF DJ would play anything that didn't have the ubiquitous "four on the floor" beat.

Thank's CorkScrew Headache, I do remember hearing those songs.
I myself have not waited in the queue area for years, on till this past July.
The so called Techno music in MF's line is pretty weak, they should ether play real techno or not play any at all. lol

Do they still play the same 5 songs in the line for mantis?

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.

Yep. Including: Breakfast at Tiffanie's & Love Shack.

Someone probably has better memory than me about this but didn't Mantis used to have 2 or 3 big televisions in the queue? If I am thinking correctly, I think they are not used anymore due to vandalism or they were struck on lightning.

I think they are still there, but they are coverd up. Not sure if it was vandals, or if they just broke and were never fixed.

Speaking of the TVs, nothing at Cedar Point even approaches the level of obnoxiousness reached by Kings Island when it was Paramount-owned. That was just a nonstop barrage of awful media of all sorts, and it was inescapable if you were in line. It made me realize that Paramount Studios and I have different notions of the word 'comedy.' Ugh.

I am glad Rick is played in Magnum's line.

I hate the TVs in line at Kings Island. They are all too dirty to see and the sound is usually turned down. All they play are music videos.

It was kinda neat when I was at six flags atlanta, they had newer flat screens in the lines for some of the rides.

They had a sorta top ten show playing on them. Kinda like the top ten show they have at the disney resorts, only it was six flags.

They also showed commercials for some of the venders in the park like papa johns pizza.

^Oh god I remember the "music videos" they used to play in some of the queues. They were like the same 12 songs in every queue. They also played the same video over and over again of some show in the queue of the Beast. I personally wouldn't mind if Cedar Point had Fox News on queue TV's, but that will never happen.

Cedar Point might be one of if not the only parks that does not play modern music around the park. Kings Island, Dorney, and Worlds of Fun are definable ones that do play modern music in the chain.

When I'm on vacation, the last thing I need to see is Glenn Beck screaming and scribbling on chalk boards...

I'll save the rest of my political thoughts for a non-CP related forum. ;)

Fox news sucks monkey butt.

The top 10 list was for six flags coasters.

It had some nice p.o.v of differant six flags coasters around the world. And yes, they did have some music videos mixed in as well.

Amusement parks are supposed to make you fear the the coasters and rides, not change and everyone who doesn't look like you.

Thank god I am not the only one. I watch it every evening. Better than CNN or HLN.

I have an iteresting artical if you like fox news...

http://ceasespin.org/ceasespin_blog/ceasespin_blogger_files/fox_news_gets_okay_to_misinform_public.html

The real sad thing is that the uneducated population in America actually watches, believes and supports an institution like FOX News. They just provide what the people want... And we wonder why our country is going to hell, its because people are generally complete idiots who let someone else tell them what to believe about everything instead of forming their own decisions. At the same time, logical decisions can only be based on available information, and if the information is all lies, then how can we expect the population to make any logical decisions?

^What news story did they lie or mislead on? CNN or HLN could to the same thing. If you have ever watched The View, they also mislead sometimes with there stories. Fox news is very trusted across America. They do not intentionally lie or mislead people. Its not like Joy Behar on HLN never lies or misleads people. Take the election with Jon McCain for example. There was so much propaganda on HLN and they exaggerated everything. The article is also very misleading just in the title.

Back on topic. I really liked the flat screen they had in the Maverick queue. They should have played some old western TV shows like Dallas or something.

Watch the music video for "one night in bangkok" forget the singer, though.

Me and my sister saw it at KI in line for Beast in 2007. Funny.......

I like the 80' music in magnums line. I liked when they played "manic monday" also, and "our house".

Every T.V. in the world can lie about anything every day, just like how they only show candidates commercials that they support and not all the running candidates in a election, ie Ron Paul. Or a anti war protest in Denver were the news said only five to ten thousand people showed up, were over a 100,000 showed up. If they don't consider it news than they don't show it.

Back on topic, does anyone know the last time the T.V.'s in the Mantis line worked?
