Is it just me, or does anybody else think it is out of character for CP to sell beer and liquor? Or is THIS the new CP? I don't see that as a family-oriented attraction.

Cedar Point used to be a classy place to visit...no more.
Have the admins cross checked IP logs to make sure Guru and Bobby arn't one in the same?
Liquor sales...8 dollars a beer...hey if they want it, let em buy it, instant revenue from a draft or aluminum bottle lol.

I was a little dissapointed yesterday with the limited selection of booze at the park this year. I like beer as much as the next guy but there is only so much draught beer one can take. Last year there was more of a selection of adult beverages but maybe they have moved to different spots? I have a tradition of getting a a Smirnoff Ice in a large cup with ice to enjoy while wating in line for Maverick and Millenium. The only place that had anything but beer yesterday was the Red Garter and I only found Mikes Hard Lime. It was OK but not the same but last year there were plenty more choices and flavors. Hope this is just a temporary thing?
While it's not inside the park, TGIFridays on the beach has a full bar. I believe Famous Dave's does as well.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Tip... Go to the marina gift shop by Famous Dave's and buy alcohol at normal prices. If you can handle a six pack (split with friends) they are like $8-$12 or so. They had a decent selection too.

I always take a 30 pack with me. Then when the park gets busy mid afternoon we'll go back to our campsite or room at the Breakers and my wife will take a nap while I drink a few beers. I will usually have a beer in the park once a day and maybe with my diner too. Cost is too expensive to have more than one. I've had lots of practice so it doesn't bother me to ride the rides at all. It doesn't get any cheaper when you buy beer at the marina or campstore. There is like a 40% markup on the price.

I cant imagine paying $8 for a cup of beer at CP. i dont even pay for the food there. For that price id just get a case and keep it in a cooler in the car along with my lunch :)
Some of us do that :)
I bought a few beers on point, mainly in Red Garter. Other than that I'll go off point for my beverages..I've been turned into a liquor snob by a bartender friend of mine, so your typical drafts aren't amazing anymore. At least they carry Blue Moon still
